Kimberly's Day Care
Today was Orange Day! We all wore our orange clothes. Patty the Pumpkin visited. She said orange was her favorite color. She told us goodbye. Next Monday is a new month and we will have a new puppet friend. Wonder who it will be? Patty said his name is “Topper Toast”. We said a poem called, “Orange Things.” We read a book called, “Pumpkin Patch Parable”. We looked all around the room and found lots of orange things. We danced around a pumpkin to a song called “My Pumpkin”. We reviewed our “Pick a Pumpkin” rhyme from our monthly display. We colored and did a maze where we helped a family get through the pumpkin patch. Your child will be bringing home their Firefighter Math Manipulative we have used here all month. Please continue to use this at home and review some of the things we have done here with it. (Look back at past curriculum pages for ideas). We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear. Monday we will have new calendar pieces they will be cornucopias filled with fruit and vegetables. It’s been a great October!
