October 5 ~ Tuesday
Today we focused on weather and our Weather Bear. We do Weather Bear daily. We’ve had more focus on it as the weather is changing and the nights are getting cold. We dressed a paper bear in outfits for different types of weather. The children will be bringing these home today. We played with the dress up clothes and put on raincoats, mittens, sunglasses, etc. and talked about what you wear for different types of weather. We worked with our Firefighter Math Manipulative. We talked about how the firefighters were dressed and how they were the same and different. We took a walk outside and talked about how the weather felt colder. We read “A Book of Seasons”. Patty the Pumpkin visited and we did calendar time.
