The next day, we had just finished our soundcheck, and decided to stay and watch Busted's.

'None of my basses are in tune,' said a very frusterated Matt, as he put down his latest try and lightly kicked an amp.

'Here,' I said, going up to the stage, and handing him my blue fender. 'Use mine. I tuned it last night.' He mumbled a thanks, and put the neck strap around his neck. He tried a few notes, and then grinned.

'Not bad. Hey, do you think you could tune mine for me? No one else here seems to be capable enough to do so.'

'How many do you have?'

'Five.' I sighed, this was going to take a while.

'Sure, but you're going to owe me big time.' I picked up the bass he put down, and took it backstage, to where he kept his other 4 strings.

An hour and a half later, I had finally finished. I looked proud at the work I had just completed, and stood up, wiping my sweaty hands on my jeans.

'You are a life saver,' said Matt, coming back from soundcheck with a towel wrapped around his neck. He wiped some of the sweat off of his face and threw the towel at me.

'You owe me big time. I'm going to have to tape my fingers tonight, because they've got blisters on them now,' I said, tossing the towel onto a nearby amp.

'Let me see them,' he replied, lifting my hands from their comfortable resting place on my lap. He turned them around, and traced his finger along my index finger, stopping right before a small blister. He leaned down, and gently kissed the hardened skin. He dropped my hand and smiled. 'There, all better.'

'Oh, much better. Matt, you're a saviour,' I replied sarcastically. Just then, his mobile rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and put it up to his ear.

'Hello?' He lifted a finger, telling me to hold on a second. 'Oh, hey babe. Nothing.' He mouthed 'sorry' and then walked away. I sighed, and went to go look for some tape. I soon found some, and began taping over my blisters. I could hear loud voices coming from the stage area, and I looked at my watch. It was about an hour until we were to go on, so I decided to go see the girls, who were hanging out in the dressing room.

'Are you ladies excited yet?' I asked, opening the door, to our small room.

'Hell yeah!' said Lori, picking up her guitar.

Forty five minutes later, we were standing by the stage, getting ready to go on. We were just about to pray, when the James and Charlie came and wished us luck.

'You guys will be great tonight,' said James, before they went back to their dressing room, which I assumed was much bigger than ours. We said a quick prayer, before going on stage. I picked up my bass, put the neckstrap on, and walked up to the microphone.

'You might not know us, but we're Above Parker. We're excited to be here to open up for Busted for the entire tour.' There were quite a few cheers when I mentioned Busted's name.

The show went off without a hitch. We even got asked for our autographs by a few people as we made our way to the tour bus, we even found out that we had sold some stuff from the merchandise tent.

About an hour and a half after the entire show had finished, there was a knock on the door of the bus. Diane went and opened the door. Charlie came in, and took off a hat that he was wearing obviously as a disguise.

'We're going to go out and celebrate the kick off of the tour, if you girls want to come.' I looked at the other girls, noticing their slight nods.

'Sure,' I said standing up, and making my way off the tour bus, soon followed by the other girls.

We went to a club in the downtown area of Peterborough. It was slightly crowded, but we easily found a table towards the back of the club, facing the dance floor. I ordered a Pepsi, because I figured at least one of us should remain sober tonight.

'Come on, James. Let's dance,' I said grabbing his hand and pulling him out to the floor.

'I'm not very good,' he said, trying to find the beat.

'Sure you are. Just do some of those Michael Jackson moves that I saw you practicing back stage.' Although it was dark, I could still see a bluch come to his cheeks. After a few songs, I switched partners, and danced with Charlie. Then we went and joined the others at the table. I noticed Matt had his head down, and seemed to be focused on his feet. I pondered why for a little bit until I felt him grab my hand.

'Come on, it's my turn now,' he said, getting out of the booth and pulling me up with him. We had danced for about half a minute before the song switched to a much slower one. I stood there akwardly for a few seconds, biting my lip, before he grabbed my hands and placed them around my neck. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me in closer.

'So, how long have you and Holly been together?'

'Nine months.'

'Do you love her?'

'Yeah, I think I do.'

'Oh,' I replied my voice cracking. I shook it off, confused to why that had affected me so much. I hoped he didn't notice, because he might think that something was wrong. The song ended, and I brought my arms back down to my side. 'Thanks for the dance,' I said, making my way back to the table. 'I think I'm ready to go home now,' I said to the girls.

'I'll come back with you, Heath. I'm feeling rather tired at the moment,' replied Lori, grabbing her purse and standing up from the table. 'See you guys tomorrow.' I waved as we left the club. We hailed a taxi and told him to drop us off at the arena.

'So, what do you think of the boys?'

'They're alright, I guess,' I replied.

'I think Matt fancies you.'

'He has a girlfriend.'

'He's also hung around you more than any other one of us since we've met.'

'That's because we're friends.'

'Whatever you say, Heather,' she said, as the cab came to a halt. She gave the driver a few pounds before we made our way to the buses.
