| My name is Leigh Lineberger, and together with my husband, Scott, I co-own Cattery KIMIA Himalayans. Scott and I have always loved Himalayan Persians, and in 2001 we decided to start a cattery of our own. 'KIMIA' means 'peace' in Lingala, a language spoken throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a country I lived in from the early to late '80's when it was called Zaire. The purpose of this page is to introduce you to as many as we can who belong to the KIMIA family. Up at the top you have already met our black female Lab Kati and our yellow male Lab rescue Merlin-The-Magical-Mystery-Dog. |
| Accompanied by our dear daughter, Melissa, is my husband, Scott. Scott and Melissa quite like getting all dressed up and then standing in front of dingy brick walls to get their pictures taken. :- ) Scott is the resident Pied Piper of Animals. It doesn't matter who you are petting, as soon as Scott walks in, your pet will ignore you in favor of Scott! Once he sits or lies down, they are on his head, his lap, his legs, etc |

| Here's our daughter, Melissa, again, with her cat Tess. Melissa is a university student in graphic design, and when she left home to go to school and get her own place, of course Tess had to go with her. Tess was a stray that showed up one very icy winter day. She had obviously been cared for, but her original owners never were found. UPDATE: At 8 years of age, Tess went to the Rainbow Bridge. We miss her. |

| This is our cat who thinks he is a human. His name is Kali. He originally belonged to my daughter, but he straightened that out right quick and headed for Scott, where he has been happily in love ever since. He loves to be brushed, and to brush his own teeth on YOUR toothbrush, so you have to hide it! :- ) He has an elaborate nose-rubbing ritual--IF he is in the mood, unless, of course, you are Scott. UPDATE: Kali went to the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 8 on June 29, 2006. We all miss him--especially Scott. |
