Lee Hom is stopping his education at Berklee temporary. Under the planning of SonyMusic, Lee Hom will be receiving vocal training under America's famous William Riley. Top singers Maria Carey and Celin Dion are some of his students to name.
Lee Hom said that the influence of his teacher on him is great and this is a once-in-a-lifetime opporttunity therefore after serious considerations, he decided to temporary stop his education at Berklee.
Lee Hom said that he had been learning music from young and has gotten the basic degree from college but in the course of exprimenting different types of music, he feels that the quality of music training and improvement in it are the vitals. Degrees will come after it. In addition, his lessons are all held in New York, a distance away from Boston, where he was studying, hence he came to a decision of holding back his education for a while.
Lee Hom stressed: "A few high school students or even younger ones heard about this news and thought that i was ending my education. They do not know the difference between the two. I felt that this is not appropriate and i really do love the course that i was studying. This is not to encourage friends who are pursuing their basic education to stop school temporary as and when they like or even quit school.
