Wang Lee Hom donates money intendedly set aside to buy new recording equipment to help the 921 incident victims.

Singer Wang Lee Hom travelled back to Taiwan from the States yesterday (4 October). Leehom not only donated is money which was supposed to be for the purchase of new equipment, he also worked with Shi Fang in a new song 'Love Will Never Disappear' (direct translaton) dedicated to the Taiwanese.

To get to Taiwan in the shortest time possible, Leehom was on the move for almost 25 hours. He flew from New York to Chicago to Seattle to Tokyo and finally Taiwan. Leehom's mother wanted to accompany Leehom but had to stay in the States as she could not book a ticket. Leehom said that he saw the news of the earthquake on CNN soon after it occurred and immediately, he tried calling to his friends in Taiwan but none could get through. He then tried emailing his friends and collegues in Sony. Leehom could only be relieved when he received the first reply 3 days later.

Currently staying in Boston, Leehom had to fly between Boston and New York for 4 times a week to attend lesson from a top-notch singing teacher, William Riley. Leehom had stopped his studies at Berklee when he completed a semester and thus, he intended to move to New York to cut down on travelling time. Riley is America's famous teacher who had coached several great singers. When Leehom was asked if Riley know of his win in the Golden Melody Award, Leehom humbly answered, 'Even if he knows about it, it wouldn't be through me.' So cute! (??) Leehom further explained his choice of pausing his studies in Berklee. He only intended to stop studies at Berklee for a semester as he is now under Riley. The stopping of studies at Berklee doesn't mean that Leehom's interest in music has decreased. He expressed that the lessons with Riley was most enriching.

Besides donating money, Leehom also cowritten a song through email, however, as Leehom had not first discussed with Sony, the recording and release of this song is still under planning. Leehom also dropped by his granny's house in Taipei and found his CDs on the floor and also pieces of broken vases.

Fortunately, his grandmother was in the States with the rest of his family when the earthquake occurred. Leehom will be in Hongkong today (5 October).

Lee Hom is now in Hong Kong to continue with the fund-raising for the 921 victims.
