Organic vs. Technical
<part two>

The purpose of this project was to create two designs:  one representing "organic" and the other "technical"

To the left is my technical drawing.

When I thought of a technical design, I immediately thought of a blueprint, so I set out to create a grid using Adobe Photoshop 6.0.  To give the design some depth, I used the pinch tool, then added a black jagged line.  Instead of looking like a blueprint, it resembeled a heartbeat, so I added the gray oval frame, which I thought made it look
machine-like. . .but I wasn't happy with the design.  It looked too simple.  As a result, I started a new design with black lines swirling outward and the smaller lines in between.  Thinking that this design would be effective against my grid background from the previous attempt, I put the two together and at last I was happy.

Technical - Relating to or involving technology, especially scientific technology.  Affected by or resulting from scientific and industrial progress

Words I relate to "technical":  edgy, mechanical, hard, prickly, energetic, motion, man-made, complex, electronic
