I don't want this.... >.<;

On friday, I received a call from my friend's mother. I use to hang out alot with my friend so I got to know his mother pretty well. She always saids that she thinks of me like her daughter. (Not that I need any more parents.... <.<) Her call was about introducing a "really sweet, tall, christian, piano-playing, SHANGHAINESE" male to me. I told her I was NOT interested and wasn't looking for a relationship right now. (I couldn't tell her I NEVER want to date again, much less go out with a dude from Shanghai.) She kept on talking about how he was so nice and how she thought it would be good for us to become friends first. *headdesk*

This is the first time anyone ever tried to match me up with someone, though P-chan noted that there may be some setups in the background only I had no idea. She is probably right. My mother is fully aware that I'm not planning on getting married. Of course, she is probably against this idea, but at least she is not pushing me. My friends and co-workers are also aware of my hatred of guys, disdain for China, and my ultra extreme dislike of Shanghainese ppl in general. (Although my godmother and some of my friends are also Shanghainese.)

I was finally able to get my friend's mother to hang up since I told her I was at work (which was true.) Her last words to me was "just think about it." *headdesk* Okay...I thought about it. No. I hope she doesn't call me about this again, but I truly doubt it. If we hadn't been talking for awhile, and she calls me out of the blue, I'm sure she will ask me again. Ano, maybe I just won't pick up. My solution to anything: don't pick up the phone. Avoidance is the key to happiness. ^^;

Prequel finished!

I wanted a prequel and I wrote one. I doubt I'll write any more stories with explicit sex in it. It's too hard to describe. I give props to the authors who write hentai and yaoi well. My story, 'No Love. Just Sex.' will most likely stay as is. It's not my best work, but it's certainly given me alot of sleepless nights. The prequel is also in my vice section. I actually like my prequel over the main story. Perhaps it can be used as a standalone story? lol Maybe not.

and then some

No Shakespeare in the Park since the tickets were long gone before they got to P-chan and co. Thx anyway for trying, P-chan and CB! ^.^ I'm not as disappointed as they, but then again, I didn't wait outside on a long line to get tickets. We met for dinner though and the Lotus dish was ultra yummy. ^.^ Now that my story is finished, I will go to my next task: con/cosplay prep. I have 5 days before I leave for NJ on Thursday. Ganbatte, Rai!

I'm finished!

Why am I up at such a time? I finally buckled down and finished my hentai story. You can check it out here on my vice page. I wanted to try and write at least one yaoi and one hentai and I did. My conclusion: I can't write sex scenes. This is one of the most difficult stories I ever had to write. The result is more bits and pieces rather than a flowing story. Unfortunately, I feel this is best. I may edit this in the future since my original inspiration was more of a flowing story with actually a happier ending. I'll mention this now: it doesn't end very happily. No one dies, but then, this isn't exactly a happy story.

I may write a prequel. Yes, I have a prequel in mind, but I don't know if I can write another sex scene. >.<; If I do, it'll be up sometime today. I can't drag this on much longer. My convention is next week! O.o I still have lots to do.

I'm only partially satisfied with my work. I can't really judge it right now since my mind is half asleep. (Pardon any grammatical errors in the story since it is 3 something in the morning. ^^;) I uploaded the story since I mentioned that I will place it online. Otherwise, I feel the quality and plot is mediocre at best. Still, I hope it is comprehensive enough. ^.^

Romeo in the park

I'm going to be seeing 'Romeo and Juliet' in the city tonight with P-chan, Pearl-chan and CB. I hear that the weather should be cooler than today so that is good. If it gets too late, I might sleep over P-chan's house. Arigato in advance, P-chan! ^^; I have work so I'll meet them tonight. Hopefully, I'll have time to grab dinner since I can't leave early tonight due to a late appt. <.<; Work is work.... Time to sleep! -.-Zzzz *snores*

Who is the strongest?

According to Oricon rankings (Japan's top surveyers,) Goku (DBZ) is number one as the strongest manga character ever. That should be no surprise since this dude can go super-golden-long-hair-with-constipation-saiyan mode many times over at any period of time. (Yet, why do all his battles last 15+ episodes? ^^;) At number 2 we have...Doraemon. O.o Yup, the mechanical blue-cat-with-other-dimensional-pocket-who-is-also-scared-of-mice is the 2nd strongest in the manga world. I'm not surprised. Are you? ^.^ This kitty can pull doors out of his tummy among other objects. His entire pocket goes to another universe! I think its the pocket that made him get on the list. *hugs Ding Dong* ^.^

Kenshiro from Fist of the Northstar is 3rd and Luffy from One Piece is 4th. Kenshiro being 3rd is obvious since he is uber-strong-with-pressure-point-fighting-skills, not to mention super cut. (Though he is difficult to pair up yaoi-wise since he is such a seme character. Too many semes in that manga. ^^;) As for Luffy, I think of him more as durable then strong. He is rubbery! All attacks will just bounce back. ^.^ Arale-chan from Dr. Slump is the 5th which is another tribute to DBZ creator Toriyama Akira-sensei. Yay for super strong girls wearing glasses making the list! ^.^

Cliffnotes: weekend

K'so! I was all set on sleeping before 12am.... <.<; Anyway, just to let you guys know I'm still alive. ^^; My story is almost finished: as in I have 3 out of the 4 'scenes' completed. However, I need to add convos and stuff, which is not how I usually write. But with hentai moments, it's too hard to concentrate on 'action' and 'words' at the same time.... *laughs nervously* ^^;

Yesterday (saturday) was bbq. Besides all the yummy food and seemingly endless supply of meat, I did something funny. It wasn't incredibly hot, so one of my church friends was cold. (She was in short shorts! O.o) One of the guys was hugging her to keep her warm and I saw his hand was going lower then necessary. I was standing beside them so I took the initiative.

    Me: Ne, you can keep her warm, but your hand does't have to be so low! *moves hand from thigh to her shoulder*
    Guy: My hand was only at her waist! *points at 'original' position of hand at her waist*
    Me: Okay, whatever you say. *ready to turn away*
    Girl: Um, you know...he is my boyfriend....
    Me: *blushes* Oh...the sky is really nice today.... ^^;

lol I think I need more sleep so that I may discern better. ^^;

I think I've turned into a bear.... ^^;

I slept from 2:30am friday morning unil 4:30pm in the afternoon. 14 hours. Pearl-chan woke me up, said I could go back to sleep, but couldn't. lol I knew I was sleepy, but I didn't realize I could hibernate for so long.

I'm determined to sleep early so I'm getting this blog out before 12am! I'll be at church bbq tomorrow so must sleep up so that I may have the energy to eat! *one track mind* Oyasumi! ^.^

Hello Kitty Weddings!

As gothic and dark as I seem, those closest to me know that my fav Sanrio character is Hello Kitty. In Hong Kong, a couple had a Hello Kitty Wedding in a train station! Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel was the maid of honor and the best man. The youtube clip on the site is in Cantonese...though most of you who traverse my blog will be able to understand it. ^.^ Kawaii! The dress is filled with Hello Kitty designs, though I wish they had close up pics of it. The flowers were definitely Hello Kitty faces. ^-^ Too cute for words....

In Japan, a hotel chain Hanyu has a Hello Kitty theme package. Checking out the yen for the 'Princesskitty' package...it seems very pricy. The blue dress looks pretty though. If I was the designer, I would make a few changes.... ^.^ *grabs sketchbook and pencil*

Japanime purchases and story status

I bought a manga and an a Sailor Moon cel. More info about these two will be posted later. Currently, I'm working hard on my story, hence the lack updates. There is nothing going on save my usual cycle of work, no sleep, writing and con prep.

Alphonse Elric at Otakon!

Aaron Dismuke, 14 year old cutie will be at Otakon this year! *dances around the room* I loooove his voice as Al in FMA and Ion Fortuna in Trinity Blood. He hardly comes to conventions since he has school most of the year. But since Otakon is in July...he will be there! *fangirl squeal*

Okay, back to work! (on my story....)

I was right!

Remember when I mentioned in my previous ICON report that Caitlin Glass' role in Tsubasa wasn't announced yet and all she could tell us is that she was present in the first episode? I made a guess at that time, which was Soma...and I was right! (I know it's old news...but I haven't been checking on the updates of Tsubasa so I just found out now. ^^;) It's totally awesome that Caitlin will be voicing Soma since she actually uses cresent moons to fight and Caitlin's fav heroine is Sailor Moon. ^.^ I wonder if she realizes the connection...probably yes. ^-^

"To listen to you, even if you are wrong...."

The bride and groom opted to write their own vows and the above line was from the groom to his bride. ^.^ I like that line.

I met some old friends from past church retreats and old fellowships which was nice. I even saw P-chan's classmate from Stony. As custom, people would tap glasses/plates in order to get the bride and groom to kiss. However, the MC gave a twist stating that whoever wants them to kiss has to hoola-hoop for at least 15 sec. O.o The best man did it first which brought a very short kiss. A lady volunteered stating that they had to kiss the length of time she can keep up the hoola hoop. She was VERY good and we enjoyed watching them have longer kisses. (The bride and groom are sooo shy. ^^;)

As a wedding souvenir, everyone was given apples with their name tied to it. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing they are organic apples since the bride is allergic to the chemicals and fertilizers of regular apples. She only eats organic.

"It's not raining, the sun is shining outside...."

After the lunch reception ended, the guests were greeted with a downpour of enormous porportions. We were in Bay Ridge, Bklyn which is quite a distance from Qns. However, I never thought of the distance until I called Charlie Brown and P-chan to see if they wanted to come out in the rain and they said that there was no rain in Qns.... ^^; A guy from the church took me to Qns.

After reaching Flushing, I took a manga break and checked out some stores. (So many books, not enough money.... ^^;) FMA vol. 16 is out! I already asked a friend who is going to Taiwan to pick it up for me. ^-^ CB and P-chan met up with me along with CB's sister. We headed to Chinatown for dinner.

A map is only as good as the person who reads it....

Dinner was Viet. CB's sister went off to meet her friends and the rest of us walked around Chinatown. It's such a small city: CB's sis met another friend at the restaurant we were at, P-chan saw her brother's friend and I bumped into my co-worker (who I saw just 5 hr. prior.)

We had gelato/ice cream-type treat in Little Italy and then I needed to catch the train. Even with a GPS system (which is totally awesome and I want one,) we somehow managed to circle the same area around Chinatown 2.5 times, ended up going downtown before finding the right road uptown to the train station. Gomen, minna...I put in the wrong intersection into the machine. ^^; Eventually, we got to the station and I hopped on the next train home as CB took P-chan back to Chinatown to her grandmother's. (P-chan figured out the machine on the way back. Yay, P-chan! ^.^)

Next time we go to Chinatown, we must think of new places to go besides Seaport. KTV and drink are the typical activities, but there are certainly others. What are they? I'll think about it some more when I'm more awake. ^.^ Ja!

No star gazing and not much sleep.... >.<;

I didn't go out to watch the stars tonight since I wanted to get home and sleep. Looking at the time now, you can tell I'm not in bed yet. ^^; I have to wake at 5am in order to catch the train to make it to the wedding at 10:30am. *yawn* The reception is lunch so I'm hoping to eat dinner with P-chan and crew...if possible. Is it possible, P-chan? lol We'll see what happens.

I bought nail polish and did my nails. I guess that is my excuse for being up so late. (I definitely wouldn't be able to do them at 5 in the morning.) Since they are dry now (which is why I'm typing,) I guess it is time to sleep. Oyasumi!

So that is what "Make Love, Not War" means....

As a plan for non-lethal warfare, the US government would like to build a gay bomb: a bomb that will make the enemy so aroused that they will have sex with each other and thus be unable to fight. O.o Besides the offensiveness of this idea of homosexuals, disregard of females and homosexuals presently in the army, the idea that hormones can induce sexual orientation (which implies that homosexuality is hence 'curable' because if you can cause it, you can eliminate it as well...) the concept itself is hilarious. Aphrodisiac in gas form already exists so arousing soldiers in heat of battle is conceivable. Just the idea of them start making out with each other on the battlefield is.... x.X If they were to create such a bomb, I will fly to Iraq. *grabs camera*

Realistically, not all guys are cute and having two not-so-cute naked guys going at it is definitely not appealing. Having a whole army of guys going at is.... *brain explodes* I'm just thinking in yaoi terms. ^.^

X-Japan Reunites

In a recent article on cdjapan, Yoshiki and vocalist, Toshi was moved after recording Yoshiki's featured instrumental, "Without You", a song dedicated to the guitarist, Hide who died after the group disbanded. After 10 years, they want to bring X-Japan together again. No single guitarist can ever replace Hide, so on tour, they'll have 10 other guitarist playing his parts...though I don't know if any of them will become 'premanant' guitarist for the newly reunited band. I truly hope not since I'm part of the fan sect that feel that Hide should never be replaced. However, I don't care what they eventually decide on since I'm just thrilled that they're coming together again.

Yoshiki-san's piano pieces were always beautiful and "Without You" was no exception. Unfortunately, since the original song file was 16 megs, I was only able to find a cut version of the song and bring it down to uploadable size. ^^; If you want to listen to the original, just comment and I'll e-mail it to you.

1 down, 2 more to go

FINALLY, I finished burning the anime that I want into video dvds. After nights of little to no sleep, I have Trinity Blood, Loveless and a couple of others to last me until my next downloading binge. ^^; Next on my to-do list (a week delayed) is...my hentai story. I can't take too long on this since I have to continue my cosplay/con prep. *points at 6/8 blog entry*

It's only wednesday and my weekend is booked....

My church friends are planning to have another night of star gazing on Friday. Hopefully this time we'll actually be able to see stars instead of clouds and rain. (Hopefully we will have mastered the focusing of the telescope or else we'll spend the evening chasing a single star around the sky. ^^;) Either way, it'll be fun.

Saturday will be the first wedding I go to in over an year. I have been running away from weddings for quite some time, but since this is my co-worker's wedding, I finally gave in. One of my co-workers will be picking me up from the train station on saturday morning. I have to wake up extra early since the wedding actually starts in the morning. 10am? 9am? I don't remember.... ^^; The color of the day will be black.

Saw Alby-kun on sunday...

...and nothing much is new. Or at least that is what he saids. Of course stuff is happening, though it may seem like 'nothing' to him. Perhaps we'll get more time to talk and catch up. Or we can lounge around somewhere. Food will definitely be involved.

Did I mention his mother bought me ice cream on sunday? Yummy! ^.^ I shall assume it's a reward for surviving my reckless behavior from last monday. Since okaasan told her friends (which is half of the Asian population in the city) about what happened, I was greeted with stares and "Your eye looks fine...." to which I replied "It has been a week and I recover very quickly." *grins* In truth, it only hurts when I poke it now. Why would I poke it? Well, when I rub my eyes due to lack of sleep.... Itai....

I want my 'Death Note' NOW!!!

In early May, Beijing started banning horror stories and manga, specifically confiscating the manga Death Note and the Death Note notebooks. Apparently, kids were having too much fun writing about the demise of their least favorite people. (Hey! They stole my idea! ^^;) Of course, Death Note fans are not taking this sitting down. Voice mails from 'Shinigami', the God of Death were left for city officials. Not that I think it is the smartest things for fans to do, but people should learn not to take manga away from otaku.

Another reason why I'm soooo glad that I don't live in China and my manga comes from Taiwan. *hugs manga* As much as I dislike China, I do hope the fans get their Death Note back. If not, people will start shipping manga along with the Bibles that get sent over there. ^^;

Gundam + Yun Kouga = *_*

*breathes slowly* New Gundam series, Gundam 00 is going to have Yun Kouga (mangaka of Loveless) as the character designer! *fangirl squeal* Any Gundam series is clearly slashable (*ahem* Trowa and Quatre is practically canon,) but having Kouga-sensei do the character designs is like a whole lot of yaoi.... *is speechless* It boggles the mind since I can't even begin to think of Gundam with Kouga-sensei's art. (For some reason, my brain cannot compute me imagining Ritsuka flying Wing Zero. ^^;) I totally can't wait to see the series and I'm so happy that it is happening. More bishie and Gundam love.... *drools*

I'm in another time zone....

My sleeping schedule is out of sync with real time. I slept when the sun came up and woke up 4 in the afternoon today. >.< Yesterday was no better. Now, it's past 1am and I'm still up. (Though I promise myself I will go to sleep in a few more minutes. *sets timer* ^^;)

I went to a church service held at someone's house and ate some yummy food. Mmmm...salmon... ^-^ I finished burning Ouran last night and am burning CLAMP School right now. Trinity Blood is giving me a hard time since it's a widescreen and I can't seem to find an aspect ratio that I'm happy with. >.<; I hope to be done with Trinity Blood by tomorrow night. Once I figure out the aspect ratio for Trinity Blood, burning Loveless and Princess Princess should be no problem (since both are widescreens.)

Reading ultra tiny print is a good thing!

The love for my new mp4 player has risen since I found something unexpected: I can read subtitles on it! O.O It's a 2.4 screen and I resigned myself to the fact that I won't be able to read subtitles since it was so small. Anyway, I listen to music more than I watch anime on it. However, I happily discovered that I can read subtitles just fine. I guess reading all my print outs in 5.5 pt. font with .5 margins really paid off. ^^; An extra, I discovered that I can listen to wmas afterall. I guess I'm quite satisfied with my new player. The only downsides are that there are no gifs and some jpgs give it problems for no reason at all.... *shrugs* It's still an improvement. ^.^ *pats new player*

Did I mention that it can accept miniSD cards? Another 1G for my player sounds pretty good. ^.^ *starts looking up prices* Opst! Time to go to sleep! -.-Zzz

Semi-rant: my new mp3 player's pros and cons

I just received my player and was playing around with it. The pros are that it can play avi format (much easier to convert to then amv,) that the screen is larger (2.4" > 1.8",) and the size/weight is still quite small which is nice. However, I seemed to come with a list of cons that I expected but still am not too happy about. My player is silvery on the outside which makes my love of black not too happy. (Stupid reason, I know. >.<;) It cannot play wma files and I can't look at gifs like my original player. Also, some large jpg files have problems when loading. (Dunno why...because it's too large?) The lack of wma compatibility is a minor issue since I can always convert wmas into mp3s...it's just an inconvenience. All in all, I'm happy with my player, but I wish my old player was not broken. *hugs old player*

If I'm still unsatisfied with this player after a few weeks, I may start looking for another one. This new player (size is perfect) was really inexpensive (since it was 'Made in China') so I wouldn't mind dubbing it as a 'transitional' player. However, I don't like to spend money on such trivial things. (Anime and manga is much more important! ^.^)

More to-do lists

I believe I promised myself that I would finish my hentai story some time this week (or was it last week?) However, in the chaos of this week, I was unable to do any sort of writing. I am currently preoccupied with burning video dvds. I'm utilizing several programs, whichever one works best for a certain type of video that I have. That has become priority no. 1. As mentioned before, I'm planning to burn Ouran, CLAMP School and possibly Trinity Blood.

Priorty no. 2 would be to write my story. It's all in my head, all the words, actions, 'moments' and if I don't get to it soon, I'll lose it all. I never could delay my writing, but I can't concentrate enough to write immediately. No without getting my dvd burning over with. That is why I can never become a professional writer. (The other reason is because my writing is very shallow. ^^;)

Priority no. 3 is do prep my cosplay. Kikyo: I have to buy hair extensions and make 2 or more arrows. Chun Hyang: I have to remake my spear (wonderflex comp. STILL didn't contact me back and I placed my order last friday. *is worried* I also need to borrow/buy ponytail extensions. Asuca Hayashi: I need to finish washing the black stuff off my dress and sew up the obi so that I may wear it more easily.

Little by little, I hope to get this done. So, if you don't hear from me for a couple days, this is what I have and will continue to do. *falls asleep*

Boiled eggs and CVB

This entire day, everyone was talking about boiled eggs with me. Of course, it is the most common Asian remedy for bruises and being in an Asian agency, it is the natural solution for my recovery. But all this talk about eggs is making me hungry...the only thing I can think about is eating it. ^^; CVB is the other topic that I encountered the most today. Simply speaking CVB (Crime Victims Board) is a program that helps victims pay for bills and loss of items that resulted from a crime. One catch about getting compensated for items: you have to be injured. *points at self
