1962 Mini Pickup 850cc

Okay so we thought my poor Mini Van had a hard life in a wood pile, this poor creature spent 5 years on a farm - with it's nose in a ditch of water!!
My son's latest find has caused intense 'mini' conversation round the dinner table, I think my husband would've run a mile had he seen underneath her in daylight, however with her original ownership papers she's worth her weight in gold. It'll probably take her weight in hard earned money to restore her, lol, but my son and husband are on a mission so they'll do what ever it takes to get her back to her original self.(with slight modifications of course) :)

As you can see, the dipping the front took for so long took it's toll. She's going to take alot of hard work to restore.

However all is not lost, the main 'unique' parts to this girl are still in fairly good condition.

Although someone has added insult to injury and put a nice flat panel on the tail-gate. Doh!

And welded a nice flat bit of panel steel over the tray floor!

The motor has gone to heaven, I don't even think my husbands magic touch can get this poor thing going. :(

Okay I've been proven wrong, I knew I shouldn't have told him what I had written, this pick up has now been driven around my house and the paddocks, yes! beleive it or not that sad looking motor that hasn't been started for at leased 10 years has fired into life! and doesn't even puff a wiff of smoke... definately a canidate for the quality of the mini motor! They may not be fast but damn they just keep going!!! hehe

She'll take alot of blood, sweat and tears but she'll be a head turner when she's done.

Look at that sexy interior! lol
So watch this space, this one's gonna be a lesson in what it is to 'love' the 'mini'.
