| OSSIE DAVIS GUEST-STARS AS DOC'S FATHER -- Paramedic Bobby (Bobby Cannavale) springs his ex-con brother (guest star Jon Seda) out of another tight jam but fears that he will spin even further out of control. Officer Davis (Coby Bell) gets an education on the street when he is temporarily assigned to the veteran officer known as the "Candyman" (guest star Wendell Pierce). Elsewhere, Officer Yokas (Molly Price) fears that a concerned mother (guest star Laila Robins) will agitate to file improper charges against a mentally challenged young man (guest star Bryan Greenberg) whom she believes sexually assaulted her daughter (guest star Ashley Wolfe) who is also mentally challenged. Doc (Michael Beach) wonders if he's done the right thing in hospitalizing his crotchety, elderly father (guest star Ossie Davis, "Evening Shade") and later ponders what's at stake if he begins a romance with a fellow caregiver. Officer Sully (Skipp Sudduth) arrests an African-American hit-and-run driver (guest star Ray Aranha) who killed a white schoolgirl but claims that he drove away for fear of a gathering angry mob. Fireman Doherty (Eddie Cibrian) promises more child support to Kim (Kim Raver) but is stalked by a dangerous loan shark (guest star Harry Goz) who wants his money first.
