U.S. 47
	US 47 has never been signed on any roadway.  Part of this routing is based on an excerpt from Froggie's Fix the Highways page. US 47 would start in Redwood, MS, and follow MS 3 to Yazoo City.  After a short wrong-way multiplex with US 49 (former US 49W), US 47 would then take over US 49E to Greenwood.  It would also replace MS 7 and TN 18 to Jackson, TN, where it would pick up US 45.  At Fairview, TN, US 47 would replace US 45W through Union City and South Fulton, TN. After multiplexing with US 45 through Kentucky, US 47 would split off again at Effingham, IL and follow IL 32 to Cerro Gordo.  Then it would follow IL 105 to Monticello at a junction with I-72.  US 47 would replace IL 47 from Seymour to the Wisconsin state line, and in the process, form a western bypass of the Chicagoland area. In Wisconsin, US 47 would take over WI 120 through Lake Geneva to Springfield, and supersede WI 36 into Milwaukee, ending at a junction with US 41.
