U.S. 74
	Apparently, everybody in North Carolina is excited about having I-74 run through their state, which might spell the end of US 74 east of Rockingham.  But it could be extended to the west. My take on a western extension of US 74 has it following US 11/US 64 from Cleveland to Chattanooga.  It would double back north on US 41 to Monteagle and replace Alt US 41 through Winchester, Nashville and Clarksville before ending in Hopkinsville, KY. This way, any mileage US 74 might lose on its eastern end could be made up for on its western end.
