CORRECTIONS & BEHAVIOR-Students are expected to behave, mind the teacher, and their peers at all times. If a student shows disruptive behavior during class, they will 1st be given 2 warnings, 3rd asked to sit out of class for that day. There will be times when the teacher will employ hands on adjusting corrections to the student. This is to demonstrate proper alignment and technique.
Levels & Moving up-It is at the discretion of the teacher to promote a student to the next level of training. Students do not move up to the next level according to the number of years in dance school/program, or age group. They must be able to execute proper technique for each movement, to make the fullest for that level. Some student may take years, while others take one, according to their natural ability, effort, drive, and practice. Please note: Attendance & tardiness effects the students ability to progress. Observation of students-Parents will be allowed to watch/view their child(ren) only during the last class. (*unless notes by the teacher) Please, no nosie children and turn your cell phones down on low ringer or vibrate (Thank you!). Parents & visitors please: Use your church voice, & Please take your noise out side during class(es)! No video/DVD recording with exceptions for the last class.
No food or drinks are allowed in the studio, with the exception of water bottles for students.
Leaving the studio: Children need permission from a parent and or a teacher to leave the class room, unless there is an emergency. Parents of young children are to meet us outside the door and wait to pick up their child/children. In ballet class we do a reverence, all other classes should thank the teacher.
