Homework:
Homework practices the skills learned in class. It is an essential part of the learning process and must be completed in a timely manner. In seventh grade, we expect homework to be in class on the day it is due. This will ensure a more thorough understanding of that dayŐs class lesson. In addition, if after making an honest attempt and the homework is still confusing, it gives students the opportunity to ask for clarification prior to moving on to the next class lesson.
You should expect 15 to 20 minutes of homework per night in each subject. In seventh grade, this means 90 minutes to 2 hours of homework per night. Plan ahead! Do not wait until the last minute to do long-term assignments!
Blue Team Homework Policy:
Assignments turned in on time: 100% credit
Assignments turned in one or more days late will not receive full credit. Individual teachers will determine credit based on the assignment and the circumstances.
Absentee Policy:
It is your responsibility to find out what you have missed when you are absent. You are responsible for all missed homework assignments as well as for all the class work you have missed. For example, if a laboratory experiment was done on the day you were out, you must stay after school within that week to do the experiment.
You must plan to stay after school with one of your blue team teachers following an absence. We are here to make it easier for you when you are absent. Use us!
Your teachers have several ways for you to access information if you are absent:
q Contact another member of your class
q Look at the agenda kept in every Blue Team classroom
q Look at teacherŐs online grade book or Webpage
q After school help days: Tuesday – Ms. Shaughnessy
Wednesday – Ms. Blum and Mrs. Griffin
Thursday – Mrs. Zaganjori
