Keira Knightley is the daughter of actor Will Knightley and playwright Sharman Macdonald. She began working at the age of three, working on productions during summer holidays. She found herself in her fist major role as Sabe, the decoy Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 1999. Since then, she has become even more prolific with her starring roles in the box-office smash Pirates of the Caribbean and the British soccer flick, Bend it Like Beckham.
