Still reeling off the glitz and glam of Oscar madness, I am bringing you The Dish's March SPOTlight feature with train in tow. She's one of Hollywood's head-turners, and has earnestly claimed herself a spot amongst the industry's list of top notch A-list fashionistas. She's now one of the Red Carpet's most winsome beauties along with Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. She started off her Hollywood career with humble beginnings, but blasted onto the scene with the lead role of ABC's Sunday night hit, ALIAS. As the big-hearted Sydney Bristow, this actress pushes herself to the limit to save the world...and her family. This month, I tip my hat to Miss Jennifer Garner!

A native of Houston, TX, Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972. She catapulted into the Hollywood limelight with her lead role on ALIAS, and is adding movie titles to her credit. She was raised in Charlestown, WV, and she spent her younger years studying ballet. Academically, she had different sights and attended Denison University majoring in chemistry. While she pushed herself to attend college, her passion for the stage took hold, and she switched gears and became a drama major.

Graduating from college opened many opportunities for the ALIAS star, and she headed out to the sun and fun of Los Angeles, CA. She landed a role on the hit show, Felicity. Other appearances on other shows soon followed, but that was soon topped by a supporting role in the off-beat comedy, Dude, Where's My Car? Another supporting role in the feature film, Pearl Harbor, followed, and she was able to share the screen with film vets Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, and Ben Affleck. She also had a co-starring role in the film, Daredevil, with Ben Affleck, and -as a result of that pairing- will spawn her own spin-off series of movies based on the comic book character, Elektra, which she portrayed.

Jennifer is an avid cook, a gardener, and enjoys the outdoors. She takes part in hiking and kickboxing, which was inspired by her character on her ABC hit. She's currently romantically linked to ALIAS co-star, Michael Vartan. Jennifer's television career is on the up-and-up, and her big screen career is pretty much on the rise, so there's definitely a lot more in store for her in Tinseltown.
