A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KSEAN

As narrated by Pading Constant & Luth Myr

At the elliptical road in Diliman, Quezon City sometime in January 1993, Pading Luth Myr Teoxon is tinkering on his car that just broke down in the middle of the road.

Meanwhile, a passenger hanging on the rear step board of a passing jeepney happens to be Pading Rio Beltran - who saw what happened on the road and he immediately recognized the owner of the stalled vehicle. Pading Rio at that time was a junior KSEAN member and a fresh graduate who had gone to Manila to seek employment.

Although he had never been introduced personally to Pading Myr, he is already familiar with him as one of the prominent member of Kinabukasan Society. So, he lost no time alighting from the passenger jeepney and offered help. He stretch out for the familiar KSEAN handshake, then, together they pushed the car on the roadside.

Well, it gave an instant amusement to both of them for the oddity of the place and time to meet each other. They exchanged some usual pleasantries and parted ways with Pading Rio holding a calling card that leads him to the office of Pading Constant.

The following day, Pading Rio entered the office of Pading Constant, and in his trademark snappy ways, he stood in full height and declared with confidence, "Bistado ta ka, pero ako dai mo bistado, KSEAN man ako!" then as a proof, he offered the KSEAN handshake. That is enough surprise to hear crisp introduction from a young man. Nonetheless,Pading Constant did not mind so much how Pading Rio had said it, but establishing himself as a KSEAN, is enough magic word to catch his attention and generate sympathy.

And it came to pass they were both working for the same company, the Metal Forming Corporation.
