Here is a man who has a natural passion for community concerns. An advocate of radical change and prudent critic of traditional views. A courageous lone crusader of his time and staunch defender of honor, truth and justice.
These fine characters of a man separate him from the rest. He is not at all popular but definitely not notorious and sly. Inside him is a seasoned man who has nourished humility with dignity and pride. A man whose personal concerns does not rest within but always reaching out.
In his primetime, he set his sight on the youth, "the cream of the crop". He envisioned these vibrant youth who fitted every role, as the KEYS that will unlock more windows of opportunities in the future and the modern TOOLS that have more power to rip-off the shackles of poverty from the face of this humble hometown- Caramoan since time immemorial.
A man of wisdom. He is an ardent lover of books during his moments of quiet solitude. An adventurous journeyman of his time. He is quite enthralled by the sheer experience and sight of the many parts of Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia where he set foot while egging out a living from his journeywork. In fact, he acquired an enviable multi-lingual tongue. For a man coming from a rustic countryside, his’ is quite a feat. A generous source of ideas, he takes pleasure passing on his seemingly boundless knowledge on varied subjects. He never fails to share his colorful and challenging life story if only to elicit at least a dose of inspiration to younger generations.
His golden years may have passed, but these erstwhile youths have bloomed. His seeds of inspiration and determination that was sown, had blossomed in the hearts of those who were called, who believed and embraced his noble cause.
The KSEANS recognize and salute NERON as one of the pillars in giving birth to the KINABUKASAN SOCIETY and for playing a pivotal role in moulding our youthful idealism toward developing our sense of love and service to our beloved hometown.
We take pride in according him this special tribute that will mark the Silver Year of the Kinabukasan Society which will culminate on the 20th day of December in the year of Our Lord 2002. Given this 20th day of December, 2002, at Caramoan, Camarines Sur.
