DINOSAUR STUDY
The study of dinosaurs is the last unit of our kindergarten school year. The study of dinosaurs leaves the kids with an excited attitude for learning and exploring. The kids love the dinosaurs because they are mysterious, large and exciting. They tower above our small imaginations.

We integrate our science, math, literature, centers and arts and crafts around the dinosaurs. First we introduce and explain that the facts we will be discussing can vary. As dinosaurs are researched and new information becomes available, the information changes.  We introduce the word theory and explain that most of what is written about the dinosaurs is theory.  After our introduction and discussion of fossils, we complete our study by introducing some of the dinosaurs individually.
