CRAFT: The students will
color a barn. The students will color farm animals and cut them out. They
will arrange the farm animals on their barn pictures and glue them down.

CRAFT: Pig
Students will cut out the legs
and head of the pig. They will add the two toes to each pig's foot and
eyes and mouth and snout to the pigs face. The teacher will staple the
body parts to a paper plate that has a pipe cleaner tail already connected.
The tail will need to be spiraled to look a pig's tail.
SING: FARM SONG (Wheels

CRAFT: Chick in an Egg
Give each child one egg cup cut
from an egg carton and two cotton balls. Allow each child to place two
cotton balls into the egg cup and glue them inside, one cotton ball on
top of another. Then let the students add an orange construction paper
beak and two black construction paper eyes.
SING: Bingo
There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was his Name-o
B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O
and BINGO was his Name-o.
How is a Plant different from

Hold up a slice of pizza. Discuss
with the kids where each item on the pizza came from.
List each part of the pizza and
trace it back to the farm.

After discuss of the book, look
at corn on the cob, open a can of corn and let the students taste it, pass
out small corn muffins. Discuss and list all the ways corn can be cooked
and eaten. Popcorn, stew, etc.
MATH: Place some popcorn kernels into a clear plastic baggie. Have the children guess how many kernels are in each baggie. Write down the students guess. Together count each bag of corn.
CRAFT:
Corn on the cob. Students will
cut out a green husk. and glue it on a picture of a corn cob. Students
will take kernels of corn and glue on a drawing of a corn cob.
DAY 5. Rosie's Walk: Hen
What is the job of a hen? Who
was following her? Did she know it?

Discuss Story
Set up obstacle course for the
students.
CRAFT: Color
Page: Hen
Students will color a hen, add
a few feather by gluing. They will place the hen on a craft stick. The
students can use the hen to reenact special positions.
