"ME STUFF"
all about me

Most of our kindergarten students are in school for the first time. Our first unit evolves from the idea of teaching something the students are familiar with, "themselves and their families." We review the familiar and introduce some new ideas.  The complete unit takes about three weeks. We incorporate learning about “meet help children develop a positive self-concept. We discuss the student's family life; doing everyday chores and family outings. Using our social studies book "Families Are Special," as a resource we discuss how families can have similarities and differences.  We continue studying our "Me" series by introducing  the five senses the first week and end the last week with the body system .

I'm Glad I'm Me
No one looks the way I do.
I have noticed that is true!
No one walks, the way I walk.
No one talks, the way I talk.
No one plays the way I play.
No one says, the things I say.
I am special!
I am ME!
There's no one else I'd rather be!
