January 26, 2003 Faith Update Thanks to Kigga the Wigga for reposting this at KINDRED Message Board. Here's the post from Faith_Fan over at Fanhost: Bad news, folks. According to a WB press release today, Faith's first Angel episode "Salvage" isn't going to be on February 19th. Instead, WB is showing the last two episodes of Birds of Prey. Angel will not be on the following week because WB is showing a Lone Ranger tv movie starring one of the guys from Gilmore Girls. TV Guide said episode 15 "Orpheus" will be on March 26th. So it's looking like Salvage won't be on until March 12'th. Join the discussion here. Faith Art Oh looky! Dyandyo sent me a Faith Banner. It's really artistic. Thank you. Keep on sending. But I may share. Read below. When you're a teenager and you're feeling lonely and left out, it's good to have a band around like Simple Plan, who have already survived adolescent alienation and funneled memories of their frustrations into infectious pop-punk. I'm Just a Kid" will be the lead song for the upcoming film "The New Guy," which hits theaters May 10 and stars DJ Qualls ("Road Trip") and Eliza Dushku ("Bring It On"). Simple Plan's debut album, No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls, is due March 26. The title demonstrates that the bandmembers may have been traumatized by their youths, but they've retained their sense of humor. The same can be said for the video, which was directed by Smith N' Borin (Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Uncle Kracker) and co-stars Qualls and Dushku. "In the video, Eliza and DJ are going out together because in the movie they hook up," explained Bouvier. "So we're all trying to steal [Eliza], and every time we try to impress her, we all fail and hurt ourselves. [Bassist] David [Desrosiers] breaks his back doing a skateboard stunt, Chuck gets electrocuted and smashes his fingers under the hood of a car, [guitarist] Jeff [Stinco] tries to beat up some big wrestler and gets body-slammed, [guitarist] Sebastian [Lefebvre] gets run over by a bus, and I'm screwing around in front of a security camera and I get hit by a door. In the end, DJ gets the girl and we all get shafted." View the complete article here. January 15, 2003 Faith in Angel Taken from Scifiwire Amy Acker, who plays Fred in The WB's Angel, told SCI FI Wire that the cast is currently shooting the first of three episodes that will feature the return of the errant Slayer Faith, played once more by Eliza Dushku. "Right now, we have Faith on the show, and she's doing three episodes with us, and then she's going to [UPN's] Buffy [the Vampire Slayer] to do five episodes there," Acker said in an interview. "So that's sort of the closest thing to a crossover we've had. We're in the middle of it." The upcoming storyline contains a few surprises, including the return of Angelus, the evil version of Angel (David Boreanaz), who is conjured to battle the Beast. When plans go awry, the gang summons Faith to deal with Angelus. "The Angelus plan didn't go quite as planned, which seems to frequently be the case with our show, and many TV shows," said Alexis Denisof, who plays Wesley, in an interview. "And desperate situations require desperate measures. ... Enlisting Faith's help is pulling a step back from just going out and killing Angelus, so it's really kind of a last-ditch attempt. It's that, or try to destroy him, because he's wreaking such havoc on L.A. and the world at large. So there are some kick-ass scenes with Faith. I mean, she's an intense character. Obviously, she has a history with Angel, Angelus and Wesley, as you know. And ... they left each other with cuts and bruises and burns, so it's pretty interesting when they get back together again." Both Denisof and Acker had nothing but praise for Dushku. "She's great," Acker said. "Fred and Faith haven't had too much interaction. But it's a good, you know, tough energy to have on the set." Denisof added, "I love her character, and she's great to work with. She just gives you so much, and she's spontaneous and fun and dangerous, and it's a blast. I'm always happy when they put our characters together. Because I think exciting things happen when our characters are together." Angel, now airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT Wednesdays, returns with original episodes on Jan. 15. Site Update I have updated the winners' lists in "Win an Award" Section. Congrats to Michel! Read below. *Posted with no edits* Hey! First off, really, I never knew who she was until I went to see Soul Survivors... I'll be 15 soon (Yey!) and I went to see Soul Survivors, and this lady asked me, "Excuse me.... But... Are you Eliza Dushku's little sister?" And I was like, "Eliza who? Who's that?" And one of my friends I was with was like, "She's Faith from Buffy, Sissy from Jay and Silent Bob..." and I was like, "Oooh! No, No I'm not." And the woman was like, "Oh, I'm sorry you just look a lot like her." And that kind of freaked me out, and then after the movie my friends were like, "Uh, April... Yeah, You do kind of look like her." And the more people started coming to school and around my friends being like, "Yo, You think she looks like Dushku?" and one of my friends Cate started calling me Dushku. Well, Eliza came to a mall around where I live for 'The New Guy' so I was like, "Way cool! I'm so going!" You know, and I mean the stupid radio station people stold my camera and took a shi**y picture of me & her from the side, but a couple people there asked me if I was with her, and it really felt cool. And so I went up to her and I was like, "Hey." And she's like, "Hey sweetie! What's happenin'?" And I'm like, "Awh, Nothing. As usual." And she laughed and I handed her a shirt for her to sign for me, and she said, "What's you're name babe?" And i'm like, "April." And she's like, "Awh, Cute." And she signed it, and I was like, "Thanks!" And she was like, "Thank you!" Then some chick pushed me out of the way and that kind of made me mad, but yeah. Someone asked her if she was coming back and she said yeah, so it's cool. You'd think, you know, she's stuck up or like Faith or something, but she's so sweet and loving and she's always got a big smile on and eveything. She's so sweet. Anyways, sorry this little testamonial thing's so long but that's it! :) If you too want to share, you may go to "Interact Section" and log your story in "Fans Testimonial." January 3, 2003 Welcome 2003 Before I get started, I want to greet all of you a Happy New Year! Hope you had a great celebration, as much as did. I really love festivities, it makes me grow big, yay! I'm all for hunger strike this time, since I signed a contract not to gain weight after the holidays. It's just a very lame agreement I had with my friends. And I simply don't want to pay all of them. I just need to work-out, one more week remaining, a serious sweat, then I could keep my money. Good thing! Bored? Need not worry, I'm done with my stories. Laugh out Loud! The real news for now, check it out. Faith Updates Thanks a lot to Jinxter of the KINDRED Message Board for the head ups. Quoting Jinxter: "Faith's return on Angel is scheduled for February 19th." "Faith's return to Buffy will actually be at the very end at episode 17, not in eppy 18 as I previously thought. She'll probably show up in the last scene, and it'll be a cliffhanger to episode 18. She'll still play in the 5 last episodes, so we get a few bonus seconds with her in eppy 17 as well.. " Okay, now I'm more excited. Pretty excited really on how she would look after her redemption. Just can't get enough of more Faith. To join our discussion go here. Site Updates REVAMP! Yes, this will happen very soon. Stay stuck. Certified fan was updated. Congrats to Angelica for taking the madness. Likewise, moving myself up to do a new poll. Patience Please. It will follow shortly. That's about it for now. Keep on visiting. |
