I would probably take care of that once my home pc is up and running again. Breaking In
3am

Hi guys!!! I can't believe that I'm updating the site once again. Can't believe either that I'm not taking my 1-hour break for this. Yes people, I'm sacrificing a good taste of air because I told you that I want to be responsible, or trying to be---at least. LOL!!! Now check below for some TRU-E news.

Unbelievable, but `Tru'
By Charlie McCollum
Mercury News

I really, really wanted to like Fox's new ``Tru Calling'' (8 p.m. Thursday, Chs. 2, 35) simply because I find its star, Eliza Dushku (Faith on ``Buffy''), one of the most striking personalities on series TV.

But while Dushku is appealing and energetic, ``Tru Calling'' is not.

In fact, this disjointed show is a bad rip-off of the late 1990s series, ``Early Edition,'' which also dealt with going back in time to save people from their fates.

Here's hoping the series dies a quick death so Dushku can find a better gig and maybe do a couple of guest shots as Faith on ``Angel.''

Message From Tru Calling Forum
Thanks to Annie of the KINDRED Board for posting this information.

"Here's the official word on the ratings. Studio and network are happy. Here's why. We HELD our numbers in the key demmo for this show - women 18-34. In fact, in that segment we came in third for the night beating ABC, WB and UPN. Where the overall numbers went down was - we lost the older folks who tuned in for the pilot - realized it wasn't for them, and tuned out for week two. If we can keep holding in that W18-34 (women age 18-34) demo, you'll all most likely get a full season of Tru Calling. Feel free to spread the news.

Unconfirmed rumor that Fox will be ordering more scripts from us. It's not a commitment to shoot them yet - but it's the first step towards getting a full season production order beyond our initial 13."

Long Time
I'm back. Sorry for the lack of news. Just to give you an idea on how I wanted to update this site and how I can't carry out in doing so, here's a little piece of narration.

I already resigned from my work. I'm a bit drab about it, but I think I made the right decision. Handily, I got a new spring of wealth, and I'm on a graveyard schedule. Training for a week and it was really butchery. LOL. In short, I'm still adjusting. I'll try to furnish you guys with more information, only if my drained body will permit me. But I promise to be a responsible webmistress. Coz it makes me happy. *give me a smile now* He he he.

Tru Calling--- And the Ratings
Futin Critic has released a detailed report about the show's rating.

For 'Tru': Louisiana actor plays slacker
Times-Picayune
By Dave Walker

Shawn Reaves wasn't into drama at Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge.

Now he is, big time, as co-star of the new Fox drama "Tru Calling."

So. How do you get from Tigerland to prime time?

"I didn't really get into acting until a little after high school," Reaves said. "I've always been a real fan of movies, and found out that there wasn't anything I could really do in life, so I just said, 'I might as well pretend for a living.' "

College at Southeastern Louisiana University "didn't really work out," so Reaves moved to New York.

There, he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and worked with acting coach Harold Guskin, who's also helped hone the skills of Kevin Kline, Glenn Close, James Gandolfini and Steve Martin, among others.

"I kind of bounced around from school to school," said Reaves, during a recent telephone interview from Vancouver, where his new show is filmed. "I tried to get as much training as possible from all different kinds of teachers and coaches."

"Tru Calling" stars Eliza Dushku ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") as Tru Davies, a morgue worker who can re-live certain days to rewrite history.

It's basically "Groundhog Day" meets "Hack" with a touch of "Touched By an Angel," a premise you'd describe as holy only if holy meant full of holes.

Still, the first couple of episodes are smartly executed. Dushku has a following from "Buffy," and the show taps one of TV's current trends -- a fascination with death and the supernatural.

So maybe it's got a shot, albeit in TV's toughest time slot.

Reaves, who plays Tru's wastrel brother Harrison, landed the role after auditioning for eight or nine new series during the spring "pilot season."

Asked his acting influences, Reaves ticked off the usual panoply of old-school influences (Nicholson, Pacino, De Niro), new-school influences (Edward Norton) and even a few movie stars (Michael J. Fox, Bruce Willis).

"Working actors inspire me," said Reaves, adding that the teen-targeted movies of director John Hughes also had a significant influence.

"I can quote 'em pretty much verbatim," he said.

Thanks to "Tru Calling's" Vancouver location and Fox's late (thanks to baseball) premiere rollout schedule, Reaves and the rest of the "Tru Calling" cast have been working in a bit of a vacuum.

So far, at least, Reaves has been able to concentrate on his work -- a task, he added, that can be intimidating.

Acting for television "is different from work in other businesses, in that your job is, like, forever," he said. "It's on film forever. If you stop to think about it, it'll haunt you. So you try not to."

Soon enough, though, the volume of buzz around Dushku, Reaves and the rest will spike.

Monroe-born and now age 25, Reaves' credits so far include small parts in 2001's "Things Behind the Sun" and 2002's "Auto Focus."

Asked if he's pondered the coming changes that could be wrought by pending fame, Reaves said not really.

"It's weird," he said. "You train so much on learning how to act, but you don't train with how to deal with anything.

"I don't think it's something you prepare for."
