Jack began his music career at a very early age with his band Mercy. At 16 he wrote and recorded the Smash Hit - "Love Can Make You Happy" that soared to #1 on National Charts and became a million seller, ranked the #21 song of 1969 by Billboard Music! His song became an international classic, winning BMI's Millionaire award in 1984 and has now had 2 million air plays. Mercy has the unique distinction of sharing the Top 10 with the three biggest artist in music history, Elvis Presley (In The Ghetto), Frank Sinatra (My Way) and The Beatles (Get Back). In 1968 movie producer George Roberts heard Jack and his band rehearsing and ask them to appear in the film "Fireball Jungle" which starred Lon Chaney Jr., John Russell and Durwood Kirby's son Randy. Mercy was then picked up by Warner Brothers and recorded an album which spun off another Mercy hit "Forever", followed by another Jack Sigler original, "Hello Baby" which broke into the charts in various parts of the country. Mercy toured the U.S. and Canada, appearing with such greats as Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, The Turtles, The Association, The Cowsills, The Box Tops, The Byrds, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Tommy James and The Shondells along with many others. Mercy's national TV appearances include The Mike Douglas Show, The National March of Dimes Telethon with Gary Collins and Mary Ann Mobley plas interviews on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Jack's talents are diverse as he is not only a great vocalist but also an equally talented musician playing guitar, bass, mandolin and keyboards. His music encompasses many styles from 50's to current day with a blend of Country - Pop - Easy Listening and Soft Rock. |
