| All of my flutes are sold as a plain tan colored bamboo. This is the natural look. If a Flute is heat tempered it will look dark brown. Heat tempering changes the molecular structure of the bamboo so that it will resist greater stress from heat which can cause bamboo to crack. If you want designs etched onto your flute heat tempering is not included in the price so only the etched patterns will have torching around them. Etched patterns exist between the mouth hole and the first finger hole of the flute. Binding Twine is used to provide additional protection to the instrument in case it is droped or takes any kind of shock from a direct hit. Though it does not prevent cracking from an extreme blow to the flute it certainly adds a plentitude of additional Strength. Each instrument will be catagorized by Add-on Size for example: Bamboo Sax - Medium. If there is a X2 or X3 next to the size that means you are adding onto a very large instrument and your cost will multiply by that number. |
