Bait Runner
This is basically a Fixed Spool Reel for the big fish hunter, these reels have one a very deep spool, which allows you to load heavy line or braid. This reel also has a free running drag, the lever at the back of the reel can be released to allow for the line to run freely when a fish starts to pull the line, as soon as you strike the lever then shuts down and you can then play the fish as per normal. I use these reels when I am Pike fishing and I like them but you really do not have to have one to fish for large fish, you can easily use a normal fixed spool reel. |
