Centre Pin Reel
This is my all time favorite reel, sadly these reels are not cheap and take time to master, but when you have learnt how to use one, I believe that you will never be without it. I use my Centre Pin all the time and I even have one when Pike fishing, to be fair you really need the flow of a river to get the very best out of a Centre Pin. Having said that I use my Centre Pin a great deal when fishing on still waters, and if you only need to fish a couple of rod lengths out, there is no reason why you can not use one. Casting is not easy but once you get the hang of it, you will find is a pleasure to fish with. |
