Boat Fishing
Boat Fishing.

Fishing from a boat is a completely different game to that of fishing from the bank.  Here are a few pointers to keeping safe while you are afloat.

Life jackets are a must, even if you think you are a good swimmer.

As when fishing from  the bank, always tell someone where you are going and likely    time you will return home.

Carry the following items;  A whistle, baler, compass, mobile phone and a spare pair of oars.

If you need waders to help you launch your boat, never wear them in the boat

Take a pair of light weight boots to change into.

Fish Welfare.

A large unhooking mat, foam or rubber underlay should always be carried to lay over the bottom of the boat boards, to protect the fish you may catch.

Always take care when you are out fishing.

Take  even more care when you are afloat.
