| The Tench is a bottom feeding fish that feeds well in the summer months, with early morning often the best time to catch one. The Tench is a hard fighting fish, that is easily recognised by its green colour and red eyes. The best baits for Tench are bread, maggots, worms and sweetcorn.I spend most of the summer months fishing for this truely lovely fish. |
| Summer Mornings The cold dawn awakes my skin. A misty start, around a waterlily fringed pond. A perfect mid-summer's morning. Bubbles. Hundreds and thousands, but small, like pin heads. A scarlet tipped float alights the waterscape. Dipping and lifting, indicating a hidden world. One where no man has seen. A fish, a green iridescent high-glossed friend.
