It has been years since the Magi war when magic users and Espers (creatures born of pure magic) fought against one and another. The emperor of the Empire now seeks to obtain magic which has almost disappeared off this world to render himself invincible. Aided by an unscrupulous Kefka (who looks like a demented clown), and controlling a Terra Branford - a mysterious young woman born with the gift of magic, he seeks to rule the whole world! Fortunately, Terra finally breaks free and joins the Returners in opposing the Empire … will they succeed or will all life be ended by the insane ambitions of Kefka who soon divulges his sinister motives …

The highlight of this game? I would recommend the opera scene.
