“Hunter or The Hunted”
Chapter 3


Christine watches Aya tumble to a stop at Yohji’s feet as she looks up seeing Yohji standing there with a shocked look in his face.

“What’s wrong Yohji I thought you like a girl with attitude?” Christine asks him.

“Attitude is one thing, but when she can kick my ass… it’s a whole new ball game.” Yohji says smiling at her.

Christine chuckles as she says, “I would have never touched him if he would not have come after me.”

Christine sees Aya getting to his feet as he stumbles slightly Yohji catches him as he says, “Had enough Aya?”

Aya jerks away from Yohji as he goes to step toward Christine Ken stops him as he says, “Stop it Aya, Christine is not the enemy.”

Omi looks around as he sees people looking at them he says, “Come on guys lets take this inside here is not the place.”

Ken turns looking at Omi as he nods Yohji reaches for Aya as Aya tells him, “Leave me alone I can do it myself.”

Aya starts walking toward the alley as Ken and Yohji turn looking at Christine; Yohji extends his hand out to her as he says, “We’re not all assholes here.”

Christine smiles as she walks toward him, Ken looks at her as they walk toward the alley he asks her, “Where did you learn to fight like that Christine?”

She looks at him and smiles as she says, “Here and there…” Ken shakes his head as they walk in the side door of the flower shop going down a flight of stairs.

When they get to the bottom Christine looks around as she says, “Nice place guys, I can tell four guys live here.”

“Well this is kind of like our home slash headquarters slash work place.” Ken says chuckling.

Christine looks around as she saw Manx walking from one of the backrooms. Christine’s eyes narrow as she says in an angered tone, “MANX?!”

“Well hello Ice, I guess since you are as unruly as Aya you come looking for the boys, just as Aya left here to go look for you girls.” Manx says.

“No not really if you must know the truth about it. I was mad when I left… yes, but I was not out looking for Weiss. I just went for a walk and happened upon the flower shop.”

“Liar…” Aya says as he walks around the corner of the wall into the room.

Christine shakes her head as she says, “Not you again… Haven’t you had enough?” Aya grabs Christine’s arm as he jerks her to look at him.

She stands there cool and collected as she looks in his eyes he says, “What the hell are you doing here? I want to know and I want to know now GOD DAMN IT!”

Christine narrows her eyes as she moved so quick no one even knew she moved. They just heard the smack across Aya’s face as he was brought down to one knee. Christine stood above Aya as she says, “Never take the lords name in vain!!”

Yohji and Ken stood there looking at one another with wide eyes as Ken says, “Mental note… So I remember never to do that around her.”

“I hear that Ken.” Yohji says.

“Stop this Ice… So if you were not out looking for the boys. Why are you fighting with Aya?” Manx asks her.

“Ran jumped me first out on the street trying to get me to get in his car to go for a ride so we could talk. I did not like the way he thought he could force me to do what he wanted. I am not some hooker on the street he can push around.” Christine tells her.

“Understandable Ice, but why are you down here with the boys?” Manx asks her.

“They invited me… In around about way.” Christine says chuckling.

“Around about?!” Manx questioned.

“I offered my hand to her to follow us as we left the street.” Yohji says.

Manx nods as she says, “Fine then, but you need to leave now.”

“Not until I get what I want.” Aya exclaims as he charges into the mass of the group to get to Christine.

Christine stands there watching him charge toward her. He stops right in front of her as he says, “I want to know everything about this Sacred Hearts organization. I know you are holding back information.”

Christine laughs as she says, “And we have told you everything that we know.”

“More lies… Stop lying…” Aya exclaims, “You are really starting to piss me off.”

Aya draws back on Christine to slap her as she catches his arm she looks into Aya’s eyes as she jerks him toward her his head right next to hers as she whispers into his ear, “If you keep being an Asshole you will never get what you want from me. Set that to memory Ran.”

She shoved Aya back as she turns walking to the stairs she says, “I am going now and I want to warn you all if you cross my path on a mission and you botch it up… causing it to fail. I will not hastate to kill you myself.” Christine walks up the stairs not saying another word as she left them standing there in silence.


Later back at the Dragonfly home base, Christine was in her room getting ready for the mission that they were headed out on. Christine hears a knock at her door as she says, “Who is it?”

“Stacey…”

“Come on in Stac.” Christine says.

Stacey walks in sitting down on the bedside she watches Christine setting at the table in her room getting her needles and blades ready for the night. Stacey sat there quiet for a few minutes as she finally says, “Where did you go Chris?”

“For a walk…” Christine says not looking up at her.

“Liar…” Stacey says.

Christine hangs her head as she starts to chuckle she says, “I hate that word… I really do. I have been called a liar 4 times now today.”

“Four?! Who else called you a liar today?” Stacey says.

“Ran…” Christine says still working on her needles.

Stacey starts to laugh as she says, “So you did go to find them?”

“No I did not it just happened that I stumbled across them.” Christine says.

“OH OK THEN and there is such a thing as Santa Clause too. Come on Chris I know you better then that.” Stacey says.

Christine chuckles as she looks at Stacey she says, “Really Stac I never went looking for them, but I do have to say it was weird how I ended up right on their front door step.”

Stacey chuckles as she says, “Brandon will have your head if he finds out you were over there.”

“I know he will and I am sure he will find out as well.” Christine says.

“How do you get that Chris?” Stacey asks her.

“Manx was there…” Christine says.

Stacey hangs her head as she puts her hand to her forehead she says, “Why… Please tell me why you cannot do anything without get caught by someone we know.”

“Karma I guess…” Christine say chuckling as a big smile comes across her face.

Stacey starts to laugh as they hear the phone ring and then they hear Jen yell out, “CC PHONE!!” Christine stands with a confused look on her face as she goes to the phone in her room picking it up.

“Hello…” She says.

“I need to talk to you and I need to talk to you alone. I know you have a mission tonight so can you meet me after at Tokyo Tower?” The voice says.

“Who is this?” Christine asks them.

“You know who this is if you would just stop and think about it.” The voice says.

Christine becomes quite as the voice asks again, “Well you meet me? I have information on a certain organization you have been hunting for sometime.”

Christine’s eyes widen as she says, “Yeah what time?”

“I will be there so when your mission is finished just come to meet me then. Come alone!” The phone went dead as the dial tone buzzed in Christine’s ear. She pulls the phone from her ear as Christine looks at the phone and then hangs it up on the base.

Stacey was standing by her side at this time as she asks, “Who was that Chris?”

“I do not know, but they want to see me. They said they have information on Sacred Hearts.” Christine says looking at Stacey.

“You cannot go alone I will come with you.” Stacey says.

“No they want me and me alone. I will be fine do not worry about me.” Christine says as she turns going back to her needles.

Stacey stands there shaking her head as she turns walking from her room knowing Christine was not going to listen to her.


As the night moved along Weiss was getting ready as well as Yohji walks out to the living room, he saw Ken and Omi sitting on the couch as he asks, “Where is Aya he is the one that wanted to get out of here early to beat Dragonfly there?”

“How do we even know they are going to the same place as we are?” Omi says.

“We don’t all we can do is get there get the job done and get out.” Aya says waking into the room.

“And what if they have already been there?” Ken says.

Aya quickly looks over at Ken as he narrows his eyes at him Aya says, “LET’S GO!” The guys look at one another as they see Aya run up the stairs they quickly follow.


While at the mission point Dragonfly was ready to move as the group is surrounding the home Christine was setting in a tree out front. Susie and Stacey were posted at the doors on the back and side of the home. Jen was on the roof as she was hacking the security so they could get in unseen or heard.

The group was ready to move as soon as Jen gave the all clear. Christine hears a noise as she looks down the road she sees headlights headed toward them she whispers, “Jen we got company.” Jen gets up from her spot as she looks out over the street.

“What…” Susie says.

“Who is it?” Stacey asks.

Jen runs back grabbing her binoculars as she looks out again at the headlights heading down the road she can hear what the others are saying as she looks out at the street.

“Not sure but I have a good idea.” Christine says.

“And your guess is right CC, it is Weiss.” Jen says.

“Get the security down now we have to go.” Christine says in an upset tone.

“Great if they botch this Chris is going to kill them.” Stacey says.

“I am going to do more then kill…” Christine was saying as they all heard Jen exclaim,

“All Clear Go… Go… Go…” They all made a break for the home heading to their target.

After Christine was finished with her target she started taking her blades from the bodies, she called out on her headset to check on her team mates as she calls out to each one waiting for an all clear from each one. She waited for them to return the call as she hears.

“Thumper all clear here.” Jen says.

“Scorpio all clear here.” Stacey says.

“Gemini all clear here.” Susie says.

Christine smiles as she is sliding her blades back in their cases as she hears Stacey say, “Weiss is in the home I just saw Balinese.”

Just then Christine heard a noise as she ducks behind the desk she waits to see who it is as she whispers, “I got company. The rest of you get out of here do not confront Weiss… I repeat do not confront Weiss.”

“But…” Christine hears she goes silent as she sees a shadow walk into the room she can hear the girls arguing in the headset she still says nothing as Stacey says,

“Ice are you alright… Ice.”

Christine whispers, “I said leave.”

Aya heard something as he turns in the direction Christine was as she springs out from behind the desk needles flying toward Aya, he lifts his Katana as the sheath catches the three needles she had thrown at him. Christine flips over landing down on one knee as she looks at Aya standing there in the moonlight his long black trench coat with a touch of gray on the shoulders. He eyes narrowed at her focused on her every move.

She smiles standing in the darkness as she hears Aya say, “Well… Ice… I guess you were not kidding when you said you would kill us if we crossed your path in a mission.” Aya pulls the needles from his sheath as he tosses them to the floor. He removes his Katana from its sheath as the blade glimmers in the soft moonlight shining through the windows beside him.

Christine again hears Aya speak as she moves in the darkness, “Well it will be a fair fight now, I am taking you have your Katana on you.”

Christine chuckles as she reaches across her waist and draws her Wakazashi the blade shimmers in the dim light that surrounds her. Aya blinks as he tries to see what was shimmering in the dim light that was in the darkness with Christine. She moved again as a bright purple iridescent light followed her from the darkness. Aya is shocked at what he saw as he looks at Christine standing there in her tight black jumpsuit that was trimmed in bright purple as the purple Ved down her arms, legs and waist and shimmered like the wings of a Dragonfly.

He chuckles as he saw her choice of weapons as he says, “A Wakazashi??” Aya questioned.

“What’s wrong Abyssinian scared I might still beat you with it or is it… You might get killed by it?” Christine says stepping closer to him.

Aya growls as he charges at Christine. Aya raises his blade as Christine’s Wakazashi and his Katana clash in the silence of the room sparks fly around them. Christine pushes Aya back as she pulls three needles from her Wakazashi hilt wrapping.

She tosses them at him sticking him with two of them one in the leg and the other in his lower left arm. Aya cringes as he pulls them from his body not taking his eyes from Christine; she smiles a malevolent smile at him as her eyes narrow. She quickly moves to his right pulling two more needles from a wrist holder she had strapped to her arm she tosses them at Aya catching him in his right side and upper arm. Aya cringes again as he pulls them from his body once more. Blood was trickling down Aya’s side, arms, and leg.

Christine was not to be seen anywhere as Aya hears her say, “Abyssinian you know I do have a date tonight and you are holding it up. I mean I am not saying I am not having fun here beating you up and all, but this meeting is kind of important.”

Aya spins around looking in the direction her voice was coming from as he saw that bright purple iridescent light shimmering in the darkness as it moved across the room. He spins again Aya charges toward the shimmer as he saw three needles come at him he moved missing them all as he closes in on Christine he hears her laugh as he feels a sharp pain in his spine.

Aya drops his Katana and falls to the floor feeling weak as he reaches for his Katana. Christine walks from the darkness she was smiling down on him as she squatted down picking up the Katana and moving from Aya’s reach. Aya could not move and his vision was blurring as he stumbles over his words trying to get up he saw Christine move his Katana from his reach.

“You bitch what have you done to me?” Aya growls dropping his head back to the floor.

Christine caress his hair moving it from his face as she says, “I like you better this way Abyssinian, but I guess all good things must end.” She looks down at Aya as she smiles.

“What are you going to do?” Aya asks her in a panic.

Christine chuckles as she caress Aya’s hair again saying, “Well Abyssinian I like you… so I think I am going to keep you around a little longer so we can play some more. So do not worry I am not going to kill you and the reason you cannot move is because I hit you in three pressure points of your body. So you cannot move your legs or your arms and I must have just missed the pressure point for you to speak because you are doing a somewhat good job at it.” She looks down on him as he glares at her.

Christine pulls a needle from her case and holds it above Aya’s neck he tries to move as she says, “Abyssinian I promise you I am not going to kill you. Only put you to sleep for a short moment. I do have to dash and meet my date tonight I have made him wait long enough.”

Christine sticks the point of the needle in Aya’s artery in his neck as she pulls the needle away Aya’s eyes are going closed as she lowers her self down next to his ear she whispers, “Meet me tomorrow at noon… you know where.”

Aya lifts his head as it falls back to the floor he lets out a soft moan. Christine smiles at him as his eyes closed even more as she kisses him on the cheek. Aya shocked by this but could do nothing but fall fast asleep.

Christine pulls the three needles from Aya’s body and then picks up the others as she looks back at Aya she smiles whispering into the silence of the room, “I think you and I can get along just fine Ran as soon as you see everything is not going to be your way.” Christine throws a needle as it sticks in the floor next to Aya’s hand. “Bring it to me tomorrow Abyssinian.” Christine turns walking from the room.


Meanwhile as Christine and Aya were having their differences Stacey ran into Yohji as she was leaving the home like she was told.

Susie and Jen was right in front of her as she yells out, “LEAVE I CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS ON MY OWN.”

Yohji chuckles as he says, “You’re Stacey or should I call you Scorpio?”

Yohji looks at Stacey as she stands there in a skin tight black jumpsuit that was trimmed in a bright blue it Ved on her arms, legs and waist as the blue shimmered like the wings on a dragonfly.

“Call me what you want Balinese, just be sure when you tell your friends about this you remember it was a girl that kicked your ass and the name is remembered as a girls name not a guys.” Stacey tells him.

Yohji smiles as he says, “You know my codename that is really sexy I just want you to know that.”

Stacey gets a shocked look on her face as she says, “Ice said you were a flirt and a possible pervert if given the chance. Man did she call you or what.” Stacey says pulling her whip from her belt.

Stacey jumps up and over the top of Yohji as she lands behind him in the darkness her bright blue strip shimmered in the darkness. Yohji releases his wire sending it toward her as Stacey stopped it dead with a single crack of her whip. Stacey draws it back and sends it out again as the end of the whip catches Yohji’s hand splitting his glove and the back of his hand open.

He jerks back his hand as he exclaims, “Hey that hurt!”

Stacey laughs as she says, “It is not suppose to tickle Balinese.” Her jumpsuit shimmered in the darkness as she moved.

“Well then if that is the way you want to play I can play that way to.” Yohji tells her. Stacey laughs as she throws two starts at Yohji one catching his arm and the other his lower leg.

Yohji cringes as he pulls the stars from his body he tosses them to the floor as he says in an angred tone, “There is a Dragonfly buzzing around here and I am going to clips its wings.”

Stacey chuckles as she releases her whip again Yohji spins around as it comes in behind him he grabs the end of the whip wrapping it around his hand, the end of the whip cuts into his glove and hand as he jerks on it pulling Stacey from the darkness. Yohji starts to feel weakened and his vision blurred Stacey walks calmly toward him as Yohji falls to his knees. He drops the whip as he falls to all fours in front of her.

“Well I was hoping for more, but I guess that will have to do for now I have to follow Ice tonight to make sure she stays out of trouble.” Stacey kneels down in front of Yohji as she lifts his head looking into his eyes she says, “You do have a very sexy smile and your green eyes are spell binding. To bad you’re off limits.”

She lowers his head as Yohji falls over to his side Stacey walks off to join the other Dragonflies.


Later Christine finds herself at Tokyo Tower she stands there in the darkness still in her jumpsuit and her swords at her side as she hears behind her, “I was starting to wonder if you were going to show are not.”

Christine spins around as her jumpsuit shimmers in the darkness. She hears a laugh as she turns again the shimmer following her as she turns she calls out into the darkness, “Who are you… Show yourself…”

She hears the laugh again as she spins once more being caught in someone’s arms. She looked as the soft moonlight caught the ends of his bright orange hair that sat on his shoulders.

“Schuldich!!” Christine exclaims.

“I cannot believe you forgot us after all Brad is the one that named you girls and Nagi did such a wonderful job on your jumpsuits.” Schuldich tells her. Christine jerks away from him only to be caught by Brad behind her.

“I missed you Chris, I was shocked to hear you and the others were brought to Tokyo on a mission.” Brad tells her turning her to face him, Brad’s glasses catching the light as it lit up the darkness.

“What do you want from me?!” Christine says jerking away from him as well. She steps out into the light as they follow her.

“Your looking great as ever CC.” Christine turns seeing Nagi walk up to her as she smiles.

“Why is she always happy to see him, but never happy to see us?” Schuldich asks.

Nagi wraps his arms around her giving her a hug as he says, “Maybe it is because I treat her like a lady should be treated and not like propriety.”

“I have never treated Chris like that.” Brad says.

“Maybe not Brad, but Schuldich and you sure do love to give her a hard time when you’re together.” Nagi says.

“It keeps her sharp and on her toes.” Fararello says walking up.

“Did you have to bring the freak with you?” Christine says jokingly as Fararello walks up to her bumping her with his shoulder.

Christine looks at Fararello as she chuckles she asks him, “So Fararello you still as crazy as before?”

“No I am worse now days.” He tells her smiling,

“You can say that again.” Brad says as he stands there with his hands in his pockets.

Christine looks at Nagi as she asks, “So why did you ask me here Nagi?”

“I have information on Sacred Hearts. I thought you might like to have it.” Nagi tells her smiling.

“And why should I trust you on this? After all you are the enemy.” Christine says.

“Not any more.” Schuldich says with his arms crossed over his chest.

Christine looks at Brad, Schuldich, Fararello and Nagi with a shocked look as Nagi says, “We work for Kritiker now CC.”

“WHAT!! So you work with Weiss?” Christine exclaims.

“HA…” Schuldich expresses, “I would never work with a team of losers like that. Stay away from them Christine they will get you killed.” Schuldich looks at Christine from over his sunglasses.

As she turns her attention back to Nagi saying, “And how did you get this information Nagi?” Nagi chuckles as he says, “Ask me no questions… I tell you no lies.”

“Fine… I will play your way for now.” Christine tells him. Nagi smiles as he places his hand in the small of her back walking with her he starts to tell her what they know about Sacred Hearts.
