Biography
A woman with a past as mysterious as she is, Kitsune was raised by Kazama Jun as a niece and cousin to Kazama Jin. When Kitsune was fourteen and Jin fifteen, however, Jun was viciously murdered by Toshin; her last wish was for Jin and Kit to seek out their grandfather, Mishima Heihachi, and learn the ways of their family’s karate arts.Though Jin and Kit lived and trained diligently with Heihachi, Kitsune wasn’t happy living there, and soon moved to Seoul, South Korea as part of a program of international studies in the Mishima Polytechnical High School. While living in Korea, Kitsune met up with the renegade street punk Hwoarang in a chance encounter, and the two became entwined in each other’s lives from then on. Kitsune’s karate sensei was murdered by Toshin, as was Baek Doo-San; around that time, Heihachi and Jin visited Kitsune, and Heihachi announced the third Iron Fist Tournament.

After nearly being raped and murdered by the Devil-possessed Kazama Jin, Kitsune was told of her true past by Heihachi: she was actually a twin sister to Jin, and full-blooded daughter to Mishima Kazuya and Kazama Jun. Plus, as Jin possessed the Devil Gene, Kitsune did as well, but transformed into her guardian, Angel, when severely provoked.Kitsune returned to Korea with Hwoarang, who was sent to serve in the military not long after their arrival home. Kitsune lived alone, training in her combination martial arts; eighteen months after her return, she was visited by a woman who claimed to be her adoptive mother -- Kunimitsu. The Manji female had raised Kitsune in her early years, and turned Kit over to Jun when she was found out by the Tekkenshu forces. Immediately, Kunimitsu begins telling Kitsune of her unknown past, filling in various holes that Heihachi hadn’t been able to answer.
While serving in the Korean military, Hwoarang is forced to kill a Communist soldier on a raid gone horribly wrong. The soldier turns out to be his own father; wracked both by guilt and a burning desire to escape the militarist life, Hwoarang busts out of the Panmunjom base and reunites with Kitsune.
Meanwhile, in the G Corporation Headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, a breakthrough in bioengineering research has been made -- Mishima Kazuya has been brought back from the dead.
