This cruise-in to finish out the year was a great sucess! The weather cooperated and it was a beautiful day to see a bunch of kits and replicas get together. I was late getting there and already missed several of the Cobra folks who left earlier. Things happened very fast so If I get some details wrong or miss someone, I apologize. It appears to me that there were at least 15 cars there from at least one of the clubs, and here is a rough breakdown. There were at least 10 Cobras, Jim and Carolyn Young's Rodster, Merlin Loblick's Sebring, A GT-40 replica, a Cobra Daytona Coupe, Norm Josephs Lamborghini, a Viper and my Aztec 7. Merle Parks was there also, sans car, but it was really nice to put a face to the email. As I said, I arrived late, about 1:45 and shortly afterward, the Cobra folks and a couple other cars decided to take an afternoon drive through the mountains back to town. I stayed to talk with the remaining members. I hope the GT-40 was ok, as I heard a nasty "crunch" as they were pushing it onto it's trailer. |
