Meeting at Ron & Celia Mirabal's
October 17th 2004
This was another enjoyable gathering of many of our club members.  We gathered about 10:00 am and began getting re-aquainted with fellow members and meeting many new faces. We toured Ron's home and ciewed his extensive collection of Fiero projects and other cars.  Later, The Mirabals served some wonderful barbecue chicken, hotdogs, and many other delicious dishes.  Below are some images of this event to give you an idea of how our day went:
Many of us came to see Ron's Lamborghini project.  As you can see, he's gotten pretty far in the build.
Also in his garage is this Fiat he's owned for 24 years  It's unknown exactly what Fiat it is, but he knows it was imported from Europe since it has the original italian gauges.  It has it has a 289 high performance engine with a tubular fame.
This is an interesting convertable Fiero project Ron also has.  Because of the unibody frame the chassis was flexing quite a bit and Ron knew he needed to reinforce it.   Thanks to this meeting, he found out that Jason Halterman had the subframe he was looking for and will be able to make this car more street-worthy.
Although it was windy and threating rain we had quite a crowd show up.  I estimate 20 or so people came.
Gene Webber also showed up with his Classic Roadsters Dutchess.  Thanks for coming Gene, it was nice to see your car again.
Joe Valez also came with his impressive Evoloution.  He was the original owner of Rons Lambo project.  Joe does body and paint work so he might be a person to contact if you need this type of service.  He explained that his car is rare because most of these kits come with standard doors.
