This is a ground up rework of the first white ape, 54mm tall and (mostly) greenstuff. Things I've learned : Vaseline is your friend. Plumber's putty is meant to be used in wet environments, so water leaves a lot to be desired as a lubricant. Armatures good. The first ape was nothing but epoxy. Only a rank amateur would be naive enough to even believe in the possibility of such a venture, much less accomplish it. This guy has a florist wire skeleton that helped a lot in getting the arms to go the right way. I also made a lot more use of an X-acto blade on this one than in previous efforts. |
