| Since Return of the Jedi came out, the one scean that has always captured the hearts of every male over the age of 12 is the one in Jabba the Hut's with Princess Lea in that Slave Girl costume. It has been the dream of ever geek that I know to "rescue Lea"....but seriously ladies, you must admit that this was a very sexy costume and that Lea did kick some major butt in it! |

| This past weekend was the big Star Wars Convention. It was hosted here in Indianapolis (where I am from), so my husband and I (being the fans we are) decided to go. And bing the geek I was, my mission was to find this costume....however I searched and searched an no booth sold such a creature. To be honest, I was a little bummbed out...but I sallyed forth, I knew I could figure it out!!!!! Someone must know!!!!! Then I found myself among a group of drooling men, all bug-eyed with cameras ready....and there she was...the bravest women I had ever had the luck to meet. This yong woman had doned the one costume that would turn heads! Not many women would wear this in public!!! Bravo!!!!! I told her when I finally approched her. And then I asked where she found it....to my shock she had made this by hand!!!!! Not only was this woman brave, but talented as well!!!! |
| So home I went to search the net for a pattern of this costume.... someone had to be selling it!!!! But after hours and hours of searching I almost gave up...then I found it... the site, the instructions ALL FREE!!!!!! I couldn't belive my luck!!!! Then I read the instrutions...I am sorry but any otume that askes me to use a jig saw to make, I think might be a little intimdating....Honestly I don't want to spend a ton of time and energy to make a costume that I might wear a few times for a little fun game of "hide the lightsaber"...so I am going to make another version, for those of us who aren't making a costume to wear to a party or convention, but just for the fun of it. So if any of you actually make this costume, I would love to have a picture of your success in it! Or if you can ome up with an easy Boba Fett costume...I would love to have that...there is just something about him..... Or if you have any ideas or suggestions you would like to add to this page, so that we can share ideas with other Lea enthusiests of the world, please e-mail me with them! |

| This is the same woman who made the Blue Slave girl outfit. She was also at the convention. Infact she was in the Costume Contests. which Anthony Daniels (C3P0) MCed....it was kind of funny...SHe announed that we must turn over Obi-Wan for killing her brother or "The gold guy gets it!" to which Daniels replied "Can I get it now?" |
