So on Aug.16th Cwit picks Kitfoxgal up and of they went east. First night was spent at a Camping World parking lot. It was so darn close to the freeway, neather could sleep that night because of the noise. So about 4a.m. we got up and headed east. Even though we both have been over Highway 80 before we enjoyed the sights once agin. Made it to Kyles Wells,NV. Then on to Battle Mountain, NV. This is where Cwit put shocks on the pick-up. Which he done with ease. As he has his tools with him. His pick-up is his garage. When we hit Echo,NV. it was 105 that day. Then on East. We hit Bonnaville Salt Flats,UT. in time to see the races. There sure was a crowd there. Finally made it to Wisconsin. South to Oaklahoma. From there we went west. Made few stops here and there. We stayed in the desert for some time. There is so much to see. If you take the time to look.

There are more then 600 species of flowers, plants and shrubs out here.Just wating for you to view.

What a sight. You have to be here to enjoy it. Hear birds singing, the coyotes and kitfoxes roam the night. We would set food out at night and the kitfoxes would come right up to the camp site. One night we had the T.V. playing out side. Low and behold one of the little guys came with in 2 feet of us. We just sat there and enjoyed it. It was something to have a wild animal come with in 2 feet of us. He diffently was use to being around people. The Ocotillo are blooming. With their tall, red blossoms along with desert dandelions and white primoses. Spikes of lupine were in view. The hummingbirds was busy as bees eating from our hummingbird feeder. We would put one out when we stayed at one site for any laegth of time. They would always be there to visit on the first day we put up camp. We started feeding the birds when we were camped at Pilot Knob, CA. You would not belive the doves that came in. At times we had up to 80 doves eating. That was something to watch. It was a thill to set and watch. As the was gettig to be lunch time,Cwit took Kitfoxgal to lunch at Broadmanville off Tedd Kipp Rd, not far from Glamis Sand Dunes. I had a hambuger and fries. Partner had just a cheesebuger. The price was so high you thought we were eating steak. But it could not have been a nicer place. Enjoyed every bite. There was Quads and dirt bikes all over the place. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their themselfs. There were dollar bills hung up all over the walls. "Neat". As for the weather it was one of those strange days that it rained in the desert.

We did go over to Algodones,Mexico. We got to know this Mexican family. He was one of the venders out on the street. His name was Magel. Hers was Rosa. They would invite us over to dinner every so often. They diffentelly do have a different live style then we do.They only had running water in the bathroom. Done their dishes oot doors.Wear they had a sink and running water. They always ate out doors. That is as far a we know. And of course we always had nice weather. Men always ate first. Tehn the children. The last to eat was the women. Even they are the ones who work hard to get things ready for everyone to enjoy. If you happen to a guest you eat with the men. They used no silverware. They used tortillas as their silverware. They did put some on table for Kitfoxgal and Cwit the first time. Sence we were in their home and their guest we felt we should eat as they did. It sure saved on washing the mess up after we ate. We had bar-b-ue chicken,bar-b-que green onions tortillas and beans. It was all good. Kitfoxgal enjoyed every minute of it. Even though she did not understand what was being said. Partner did understand some. He understood enough for him and Magel to get along good.

We would at time go down to Algodonrs to have lunch. Of course we would always have fish tacos,a beer and a coke. We would find a place were we could eat outside. And enjoy the venders trying to sale their items. At time we would take items over to Magels family. As some items was very hard to come by. One time we drove down to San Felipe, with a couple of friends,to spend the night. It was right by the ocean, real neat. View was of the Golfo de California. The two men went fishing. They did get some.Took them to this restrant. They cleaned ,cook, and seved them with no charge.they diffentelly got a big tip. I could not belive that they were not going to charge us for all they did.

We made it to Ca. getting ready for our summer of fishing at Bodega Bay. Got us a new camper and pick-up for our summer home. That is new to us. Took it to Bodega Bay. Then we took the boat out and set our crab pots. We sure got a lot of crabs. The weather was turning bad so left. That is we left after Kitfoxgal got sea sick. But she got over it fast. Second day out she was just fine. Will be heading back just as soon as the weather clears.

Was sure slow at getting back to this. As its been almost a year. We ended up with a very poor season of salmon fishing. Only got 2 salmons a piece. Not even enough to can. We ate all 4. We did have craps running out our ears. That is one time we got tired of them.
