Termina, it seemed like a world on its own. Some people planned never to leave the country for it seemed so perfect to live there.

There were some though, who longed for adventure.

Kit was sitting on the roof of Cremia's house on Romani ranch. He had been a farm hand for about 2 years. He loved Cremia dearly, and wanted to marry her, but he felt so restless lately. He needed to get out, he needed to explore.

In his many books he had retrieved from his beach house, he had read of other lands in the world,

Holodrum,

Tolamac,

Hyrule,

Calatia,

Labrynna,

There were so many places, and Kit wanted to visit them all. But he felt torn between his duties at the ranch and his lust for life.

He had been sitting on the house for quite a while, reading up on some strange island name Koholint. It made him curious, for nobody knew if it existed; yet some claim to have been there. There slept the Wind fish. The Wind fish was a mystical god-like figure to the Koholant society. In fact, The Soars at Great bay even made a song about this legendary figure, they named it "Ballad of the Wind fish" which was odd to say the least, for a similar tune with the same name was a song told to wake up the Wind fish and grant any wish to anyone who dared to wake the deity.

But the book also told that the island could not exist, due to the few people who actually saw it. And cant recall where it was.

This made Kit extra curious.

"Kitmouse!!!!" Romani yelled

Kit was startled and jumped, falling off the roof onto the ground below. He looked up to see the face of the ever so cute Romani, whom he had watched age over the past two years, she was beginning to look a lot like her sister.

"Suppertime Kit!!!"

She giggled and went into the house; Kit followed, rubbing his hurt bottom.

"YOU CAN’T GO!" Cremia said, "the ranch has never been better, before you came nothing worked here eccept the cows! And if it weren’t for you the Gormans would have succeeded in stealing the cows last week!"

She looked at him with pleading eyes

“Please Kit... don’t leave us!”

Kit sighed

"Listen, you remember your parents, you were born on this ranch, and this is your home!

But where is mine??? Who are my parents? Huh? I don't even know where I came from! But I do know one thing! I have the will and the way to find out!"

Cremia began to sob.

"But Kit, we NEED you here! This is your home now! Remember?

Romani watched the argument patiently.

"Cremia, I cant..."

"Kit! Why would you..."

"I have needs..."

"But you’re home..."

"Bla bla blah bla...."

"Bla bla bla bla..."

Romani had enough

"OKAY!!! Romani is mad now!

Both of you sound silly!!!"

They looked at the little girl, shocked.

"Kitmouse! You want to find your home and where you came from, but you will return right?"

Kit nodded

"And sis, you want kit to stay here! Shame on you! You’re being selfish!

We were okay before Kitmouse came! You should let him go, he will return like he said! At least he'll be coming back right?"

Cremia nodded too.

"Then both of you pipe down! You’re going to scare the cows into sour milk!!!

Romani isn't hungry anymore!"

With that, she stormed up to her room.

Kit and Cremia looked at each other.

The next morning...

Kit had packed some books and food into a satchel and put it on his back.

Cremia stood at the door looking at him.

"Look Cremia, I'm sorry, but I have to do this, and when I'm done, I will return, you can count on that, and we will get married."

Cremeia's eyes gleamed with happiness; she hugged kit and began to weep.

"I love you my mouse!"

" I love you too!"

"Bye bye Kitmouse! Bring me back something good!" Romani yelled out the window.

With that, Kit climbed aboard a horse the Gormans "donated" to the ranch, and galloped off towards clock town.

Cremia sighed; she turned, and began to sob.

"Bye...."

Kit had traveled all over Termina in search for a way out.

He made his way up into the mountains where he came across Snowhead temple.

"Go back to the ranch!" He said to the horse, attaching a letter to its saddle.

The horse galloped back towards Termina field.

Kit climbed down the icy slope into the valley below, it was dark, he heard wolfos howl and ice keese flapping. Then he discovered a cave. He stepped in, and slipped, and slid down an icy slope inside a tunnel, it twisted and turned till it dumped him out into a partially frozen cave. "Well..."

He said to himself.

"There's no turning back now..."

He ventured through the cave till he saw the opening to outside.

The smell of fish stung his nose as he exited the cave.

He stared in amazement.

"Is... That the wind fish???" He thought to himself.

A very large fish sat floating in a small lake. To the left of the fish was another cave.

Kit jumped into the water and swam over to the stone flooring that led inside the cave.

He looked at the huge fish.

Then opened his book of lands.

"....Sages...Triforce....Oracle......Ah, here it is, Wind fish."

He began to read.

"Hmmm, this thing doesn't fit the description at all...."

He closed his book.

"But I bet it would make a good meal..."

Kit was hungry. He hadn't eaten since supper last night.

"Oh well" he thought to himself. Then a voice caught him off guard.

"Who are you and how dare you not kneel before the presents of Lord Jabu-Jabu!!"

Kit spun to see an Ocean Zora looking at him.

"Oh. Sorry, I'm a little lost, can you help me..."

Two more Zoras walked up to Kit and grabbed his arms.

The leader smiled.

"What business do you have here in Zoras domain?"

Kit stuttered.

"Uh, Zoras domain? Where am I?"

"Take him away" the Zora said.

Kit was brought through the cave and on to a stone slab in front of a small waterfall, on which top sat a huge fat Zora, one that Kit had never seen the likes of before.

"What is your business here?" The fat Zora said.

"I'm. I’m Kit, I’m from the land of Termina, and I’m on a quest, where may I ask am I?”

"I am King Zora. Ruler of the Zoras of Hyrule. You are in Hyrule."

Kit smiled.

"Your majesty, I ask for your forgiveness, I didn't mean to trespass here, I just need directions to.."

He thought back to what he read about Hyrule

"I need directions to Kakariko Village."

King Zora sighed

"Go down the river till you see steps leading up a mountain. You’ll find it. I'll send an escort with you."

Kit was walked to a door with water rushing down it.

The Zoras began to speak to one another.

"I ain’t taking him! What if he eats one of us?"

"Well in that case I'm not taking him either."

"What about Doyar?"

"Perfect, hopefully the beast will eat him"

The Zoras then chuckled

"Beast?" Kit said to himself.

"I'm a beast?"

A young Zora male walked up to Kit, being motioned by the two older ones.

"Escort this... ... ... .... man to Kakariko Village."

The young Zora blinked.

"Why? Why do I always have to listen to what you say Beod?"

The other older Zora poked the younger one.

"Just go Doyar, and don't cause trouble! Or the princess will have your head!"

"Yes master Mikeel!" Doyar said sarcastically.

With that Doyar jumped through the waterfall door.

"Let's go!" He yelled to Kit

Kit followed, he ran and jumped through the door, on the other side of the waterfall, he found him self landing on a small bridge with a stone slab on it.

Kit slipped on the wet stone, and fell forward, hitting his body on another bridge, then falling unconscious into the water.

Doyar gasped as he dove into the water after Kit.

Kits Limp body floated down stream as Doyar tried to swim to reach him, the current was taking Kit faster down stream, and the water wasn't deep enough for Doyar to swim fast enough.

Kit awoke, he felt lips on his. Kissing him.

It had all been a nightmare.

He never even left the ranch, he hadn't woke up and started his journey.

Just as he was about to open his eyes to look into the face of Cremia kissing him, she suddenly stopped and began pounding on his chest. He awoke suddenly to see a Young male Zora hitting his chest.

So much for it being a dream....

"PLAAHHH!" Kit yelled.

His mouth tasted like dead fish.

"What the hell are you doing?????"

Doyar blinked.

"Artificial respatation! er, respiration, er, perspar....... I'm trying to make you breathe again!!!!"

Kit coughed.

"What? You... saved my life?"

Doyar shrugged.

"I guess so... you stopped breathing, I didn't know what else to do!"

Kit got up, his fur and clothes were soaked.

"Thanks, I owe you one." Doyar nodded.

"So," he started

"You want to go to Kakariko Village?"

"Yes" Kit answered.

"Follow me mouse man"

Kit was taken back by the "mouse man" comment, but didn't take offence.

They climbed a flight of stairs till they reached the gate.

"Well" Doyar began

"See you around!"

With that, Doyar walked back down the Stairs to the river.

Kit walked around till he saw a large house, a sign that read "Hotel" sat on the side of the Building.

Kit walked up to the door and knocked.

A teenage human boy answered.

"Hello?" He said.

"Yes, is this a hotel? Because i'm looking to stay the night."

The boy invited him in.

"Sure! Welcome to the Skulltulla house of beds!"

Kit laughed a bit.

"why did you name it that?"

"Well, a couple years ago, me and my brothers and my dad were all turned into Skulltulla spiders by a curse, when a kid in a green hat and clothing killed so many Golden Skulltulla, that the curse was lifted, and..."

"Aerid! Stop scaring our customers!" a larger man said.

"welcome to the Kakariko Village house of beds, please disregard my son and any stories you might hear about us being greedy and having a curse put on us!"

Kit was confused.

"It will be 100 rupees a night please"

kit reached for his satchel, to find he didn't have a satchel.

"oh no...my satchel, it must have been washed away down stream!"

The man frowned.

"well I'm sorry sir, if you don't have rupees, you can’t stay."

Kit walked out of the hotel.

He sat on a step and thought to himself. "now what am I going to do???"

A chicken sat beside him and clucked a bit. he picked it up and petted it.

"Excuse me!" a voice said from behind.

"can you help me?"

Kit spun to see a girl who looked like Anju, who worked at the stock pot inn back in clock town.

"Hi! that's my Cuckoo! actually, I have more than that, but they seem to always run away, and I can’t touch them because I get goose bumps!"

Kit rolled his eyes.

"I was wondering if you could retrieve my Cuckoos for me?"

Kit stood up.

"I'm sorry to ask for this, but, I will for 100 Rupees."

The girl seemed hurt.

"I'm sorry, I don't have any money."

Kit frowned

"oh, well, its okay, I'll still help you."

Kit spent the next 3 hours retrieving Chickens.

Finally, exhausted, he brought the last one to the pen.

the girl smiled.

"Oh thank you so much Mr.! Here, you can have this, its fine glass, so be careful not to break it!"

She handed kit a glass bottle.

"Thanks!" he said. Seeing the bottle reminded him of "Château Romani" since Mr. Barten served the milk in bottles like this one.

"thanks again!" she said

"No problem Anju!"

The girl giggled.

"that's not my name!" she said.

Kit felt embarrassed

"sorry! you just look like a girl I know named Anju!"

they both laughed.

Kit wandered around the village, till a woman with a brown dress, huge lips, and a loud red shirt grabbed his hand and yelled "get inside everyone! The Black wolfos will be out soon!!!"

She brought kit inside a house with two beds and a stove cooking stew.

Kit blinked.

"Hello!" she said

"you're not of this village are you?"

Kit shook his head.

"Well, your welcome to stay here, the mean people at the hotel should have let you stay!

they were very greedy, and a curse was cast on them for their greed, once the curse was lifted, they made there house into a hotel, and vowed never to be greedy any more, so much for that! they over charge you there!"

Kit blinked.

"thank you Ma'am. um, who lifted the curse on the family? they said something about a boy with a green hat and clothing."

"Oh yes, such a nice little boy. always carried around a sword and shield he did! he disappeared into the forest about 4 years ago."

Kit sat at the table.

the Lady served him some stew, it tasted great.

"So," kit began.

"what did you mean when you said "The black wolfos", is that a threat to this village?"

She nodded.

"oh yes, the beast has been attacking for a couple months now. rummaging through people’s houses! stealing that poor dears chickens! why I heard it even attacked Dampe' the graveyard keeper!"

Kit ears perked up.

"where I come from, we also have a grave yard keeper named Dampe', he's an awful coward..."

The lady smiled.

Well, our Dampe' keeps ghosts from haunting our village. but he's been in hiding due to the attacks of the Black Wolfos. Tonight is a full moon, so it will be coming to the village tonight! its best you stay inside!"

Kit continued to eat his meal.

he went to sleep on a bed, which was obviously meant for guests.

In the late hours of the night, kit heard a Scream. He shot up and went outside, trying not to wake up the lady.

he saw it.

It was indeed a wolfos, but it seemed bigger, it stood upon its back legs. it had a Human body shape almost, but its glowing eyes and long tounge were a give away that this was a wolfos, and angry one at that.

it was attacking someone.

Kit took out his crossbow and pointed it at the Wolfos.

"Get off!" he said.

The wolfos turned around to look at Kit.

it growled, kit looked down to see that the Wolfos’ prey was a Zora.

"Doyar!!!!" kit yelled.

The wolfos lunged at Kit, He fired his crossbow.

No arrows...

they had all been in his satchel.

the wolfos landed on Kit, trying to bite his face.

with his crossbow, he held it back. drool dripped on kits face.

This was the end, he knew this beast was too strong for him to handle. then the wolfos let go and whimpered. Doyar was pulling the wolfos' tail, hard. it turned to attack him. he dropped kits satchel.

Kit jumped for it.

out of it he pulled out one arrow and a 100 rupee (silver rupee).

he quickly tied the rupee onto the arrow, hoping the age-old "wolfos hate silver" legend was true. he loaded the arrow onto his crossbow when suddenly the wolfos threw Doyar to the side and attacked Kit. It smashed the bow out of his hand as he was about to fire. the crossbow broke in two as the wolfos tried to bite Kit's arm.

he fell to the ground.

he looked at the wolfos, the moonlight illuminated it.

it had a feminine figure, its chest seem to have breasts, its hips were wide. it lifted up one of its hairy paws and as it brought the paw down, kit quickly grabbed the silver rupee on the arrow and drove it into the Wolfos' hand, which was a mere inch from kits face.

The wolfos howled in pain at it ran away, towards the graveyard.

"Dude! are you okay?" Doyar asked.

"yea... i'm fine. but what are you doing with my satchel?"

Doyar smiled

"My brothers took out of the stream where you fell. they wanted to keep it. I tried to get it back, but they wouldn't let me have it. so I waited till night and I took it to return to you.

unfortunately... I can't go back now..."

"why?" Kit asked.

"well, thievery is a high Zora offence, which can get you exiled, or even killed. and since my brothers told king Zora that they found the satchel, he let them keep it. so, what I did was stealing.... so.... I can't go back. besides, my brothers will turn me into fish bait if I go back, they'll feed me to lord Jabu-Jabu!!!"

"ouch" Kit said.

"yea..." Doyar replied.

"well, i'm going on a quest to find my real family, you can join me if you'd like."

"REALLY?" Doyar said. "AW great!!! that's awesome! I don't have to go back home!"

“hmmm... I want to find my family, you want to lose yours. how ironic...."

Doyar laughed.

"I never liked anything there anyways! Just Ruto, but she's a princess, so, ya know...."

Kit laughed.

he put everything into his satchel and counted up his rupees.

"There's only 10 rupees in here! I had 500!"

"Well" Doyar began "my brothers took 390 and bought stuff..."

Kit sighed

"and that Wolfos ran off with my last hundred..."

"at least you lost your money, not your life!"

Doyar chuckled.

Kit saw the sun coming up.

"Well kid, if you’re going to come with me, lets get movin."

Doyar blinked.

"Great, an early riser, I'll never get sleep on this journey!"

Kit and Doyar walked to Hyrule Castle town, it was early, they heard a Rooster call in the distance. the gate to the town opened up.

Kit and Doyar walked inside. the town was flooded.

People everywhere!

he saw many humans, he saw a Gerudo, a Goron, and a little girl chasing a Chicken. he heard cheerful music and many people having conversations.

"You've met with a terrible fate haven't you?"

Kit whirled to see a grinning man with a purple cloak and red hair.

"Huh?" kit said.

"The young Zora here!"

The man pointed at Doyar's arm. it was bleeding.

Doyar laughed.

"It’s nothing! a wolfos attacked me. that's all!"

"MMmmmmmmm, a wolfos you say, was this in Kakariko Village?"

"yes"

"Well, was it the black Wolfos?"

Doyar was shocked.

"yea, how did you know?"

The man laughed. his movements were odd, like he didn't even move, from one position to another. it really freaked out kit.

"Well beware my young Zora friend. the curse of the black Wolfos cannot be lifted unless the mask fits!"

with that he waked towards a store with a large mask on the top.

he turned, but without turning...

"oh, and mouse boy, Next time your in Termina, Say hello to Skull kid would you?"

He then walked into his store.

"How did he know?...what? ...okay. this makes no sense!"

Doyar laughed.

"that guy is freaky, but he has cool masks. he used to only have a couple, but he went travelling and brought back a bunch more! They’re all the rage with Zoras! my Bro has a cool Gibdo mask!"

Kit nodded.

"but how did he know I was from Termina? and what does "the curse of the black wolfos cannot be lifted unless the mask fits" mean???"

Doyar giggled

"don't listen to him, He's a Crackpot."

"oh.." kit said.

Kit looked around to see many Faces. he recognized a few people, Sakon was a famous thief in clock town, he saw him running around.

he spotted a woman that almost looked identical to Mamuyan back at the ranch.

He then spotted a man with crates that had pictures of cows on the head up towards the castle.

the man looked strikingly similar to Mr. Barten.

"you know Doyar, this place Hyrule, it seems Very Strange."

"it is!" Doyar replied.

"So, princess Zelda lives in that castle does she?"

"Yep" Doyar replied.

"and so does the Triforce, or so I heard..."

"Strange...." Kit said.

they walked around a bit, kit bought 5 bombs with his left over rupees from a Goron in a shop called "Bazaar"

as they were about to leave, Kit spotted that man who looked like Mr.Barten Again.

"Hey you!" kit called.

The man turned to look at him

"Yea! you, where are you from?"

The man smiled

"Names Talon! I'm from Lon Lon Ranch, its just up over the hill, you interested in buying some Milk?"

"No," Kit replied "but I am interested in your ranch. do you breed horses?"

"Yep" Talon replied.

"good, I'd like to buy one!"

"With what rupees?" Doyar sneered

"Shhhhh" kit answered.

Talon smiled

"Sure! C'mon, I'll take you to the ranch."

Kit and Doyar followed Talon to the ranch.

Kit heard a song... the song was familiar. Cremia had sung the same song.

Kit ran up to the one who was singing it. it was a little girl. she looked identical to Romani.

"that's a pretty song!"

Kit told her.

The little girl turned around

"huh? oh yea, that's a song my mother taught me!"

Kit nodded

"I called it Epona's Song, because I have a horse who loves it, and her name is Epona, I gave her to a friend of mine who wore green clothing, he took her for a while, but she returned not too long ago, we found her by Hyrule castle.

"green clothing, Geez, what was the kid’s name?"

"Link, and my name is Malon. this ranch belongs to me, my dad, and Mr. Ingo."

"oohh" kit said.

"unfortunately, Mr. Ingo moved away to a place called Holodrum, he collects vases now, and we just got back from visiting him. I met Link there! He gave me a cool Cuckoodex!"

"cool" kit said.

"Kit!" Doyar yelled

"gotta go, nice to meet you Roman.... I mean, Malon!"

Malon waved to him, and continued her song.

Talon showed Kit his horses.

"These are fine horses for racing or travelling, ill sell them for 50 Rupees each!

Kit nodded.

"Okay Mr Talon, you've got yourself a deal, Ill take two horses, but, I'm going to have to pay you tomorrow!"

Talon nodded.

"well, they'll be waiting for you tommorrow! don't you worry!"

Gorman sat in his old cabin with his brother Gorman. They were both Very mad.

"Brother! Last weeks attempt to steal those cows were very unsuccessful, you even lost Ed! MY HORSE!!!"

Gorman scowled at his rude brother

"If it weren’t for that stupid animal man they have over there, we would have been successful!

They heard a horse calling, they both looked outside the window to see "Ed" Gormans horse.

Both of the walked down to the entrance to see the horse.

"Yep, that's definitely my horse... hey... he has something on him!

Gorman grabbed the note from his brother and read it aloud.

Dear Sweet Cremia.

I've been without you for only an hour, but I long to see you again, I am currently at Snowhead and moving on, I pray this message gets to you, and as soon as I find my past, I will return to you with my wedding mask all ready for you.

Gorman almost gagged

"How repulsive!!!!"

Gorman also gagged

"But brother, iv got a plan!!!!!"

He whispered to Gorman, both Gormans began to laugh evilly.
