"Unbidden"
By:
Trickster KitsuneA/N: This just came to me. I wrote this a while ago, back before I saw the last episodes of Yami no Matsuei. So, sorry if it sucks... ^__^ My first poem that rhymes, badly, but it rhymes... ^__^ Hell must have surely frozen over. If, by any chance, there are spoilers, sorry. ^__^
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters or Yami no Matsuei. Please don't sue.
Pairing: Slight Tsuzuki x Hisoka

Unbidden words flow from my throat,
Speaking of love and hope.
But those words are all in vain,
For the black flames will be my bane.
I want to die,
My life has been a lie.
When I look into his eyes,
My torturous past will rise.
I now beseech the black serpent,
To allow me to repent,
All the sins from my past,
So that I can rest at last.
The serpent regards me with cold eyes,
Weighing me and determining if what I ask are lies.
His voice is harsh and heartless,
Yet, it holds a faint hint of sadness.
"What do you think you will gain?"
I close my eyes against the strain,
As my heart beats in frustrated pain.
"Freedom and forgiveness is what I will gain."
The shikigami studies me;
His eyes scanning over my battered body.
"If that is what you command,
Then I will do as you demand."
I watch the serpent raise his hands,
The black flame forms around him where he stands.
I wait for the ax to fall,
Awaiting the call...
But a voice calls out from behind,
I close my eyes and become blind.
Stay away from here, Hisoka...
"Do it, Touda."
Hisoka cries out again,
But his voice is lost in the din,
As the flames descend,
Drawing my life to an end.
An unbidden thought enters my mind,
As the flames around my body bind,
"Is this a mistake?"
But it is too late.
Farewell...

A/N: After reading through this, it fits the end of the anime VERY well. Not exact, but close enough. So, sorry for any spoilers... ^__^
