There were times when I could not get around to producing any kind of work--sometimes months, even a year passed by without doing much substantial work.
During this period there were moments I even considered not producing/doing any art indefinitely and find something else to do. Fortunately, though, thanks to many close friends' encouragement and support, I was able to overcome my "moods of insanity" and regain my confidence in painting again. Somehow, it just happened. I guess we all just need some period of silence, of keeping still--to hybernate, incubate--to wait till the ice thaws in spring.
