1 can kraut
1 cup surgar
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup pimento
1/2 chopped onion
instructions
Mix and let stand overnight
 
6 egg yolks
1 whole egg
1/2 tsp.salt
2 tbsp. melted butter
instructions:
Beat egg yolks and whole egg until very light.
 
Add melted butter, salt and enough flour to make a 
soft pastry dough.
 Place on floured pastry cloth 
and knead, adding enough flour so dough can be 
handled easily, but try to keep as soft as possible. 
Let dough rest for 10 min.
 Divide into 4 parts, 
roll VERY thin on pastry cloth.
 Place on board or 
cloth to dry. Turn several times while drying.
 
When edges start to curl, roll up and slice 1/8 in. 
thick. Spread out and allow to dry.
 I remember my 
grandmother opening the cabinet doors, covering with 
newspapers and then hanging strips over the door to 
dry.
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup oil
4 eggs
1/4 cup Vodka
1/4 cup Kahula
3/4 cup water
Combine all ingredients: beat 4 min.
 Pour into 
greased, floured pan.
 Bake 50 min. at 
350*.
Cool 1/2 hour, remove from pan.
Glaze
1/2 tsp. Kahula 
1 tsp.
vanilla and powdered surgar.
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 large can Underwood Deviled Ham
2 tbsp. half and half cream
Directions:
With all ingredients at room temperature, mix well 
with fork.
Refrigerate if desired.
Serve with 
chips or veggies.
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown surgar (packed)
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Beat eggs lightly, add brown surgar.
Mix in flour, 
vanilla and nuts, spray mini-muffin tins with cooking 
spray.
Fill each cup 2/3 full and bake 18-20 min. 
in 350*oven.
Cool on rack. Makes about 20>
(My family never waits for them to cool.)
Peel, cook and mash enough sweet potato's to make 4 
cups.
Add:
1/2 cup of butter
2 eggs well 
mixed
1 cup brown surgar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 
tsp. vanilla
Stir well and place in buttered 
casserole dish. 
Sprinkle 1 cup of coconut, 1 cup 
small marshmellows and 1/2 cup of pecan pieces on 
top.
Bake 20 min. at 350*
1 cup surgar
2 eggs well beaten
2 tbsp. flour or corn starch
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 cup water
Combine in double boiler, stirring often til 
thickened.
Add 1/2 tsp. lemon extract and a small 
lump of butter
Stir well, can be eaten as pudding 
or pour into a baked shell.
I remember my 
grandmother calling this:
"Depression Days Pie"
Spread two slices of bread with any of the 
following:
mustard, ketcup, mayonaise or 
horseradish sauce
Place several potato chips on 
one slice, cover with other slice.
Hit sandwich 
repeatedly with fist until sandwich is 
flat.
