In the Cats video, the credits list vocalists that supposedly sang Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer, dubbing the song instead of Drew Varley and Jo Gibb. This was very disappointing to many Cats fans, especially those of us who adore this particular Duo. I hated to believe the thought that these to wonderful actors did not actually sing their own parts. There is alot of controversy on this subject. There has been alot of speculation on the validity of it and rumors seem to be still flying about the internet on whether or not it is true.
Now, I've searched many sites, and have found that nearly everyone single one is in agreement with the same statement.
JO GIBB AND DREW VARLEY DID SING THEIR OWN PARTS! They were NOT dubbed, as the video credits show.
Its high time these two AMAZING actors got credit for their performance. Pass the word along, post it on your website, let other know about it for Drew and Jo.
Note: Veerle Castelyn and Georff Grant were dubbed on the video. Veerle had just returned from another country, and they were worried about her getting the accent in time, Geoff was did not have the Scottish accent they wanted for the video. Both are amazing performers, and have shown their ability for these roles numerous times.
