Mine was always a black Arabian gelding or stallion, then one of the men that use to look after the grounds got to know us, he lived across the road from the pony club and agisted his daughter horses on the grounds....
His daughter was a very spoiled girl, if she didn't like a horse, or out grow it, daddy would buy her a new one, and much to our delight, this was the case (yippy)
The first was 'Minstal' a 13.2 hh 9 year old, bay, pony, looked like he was a welsh X with a larger horse, as he had a horses body on pony size legs...
The second was 'Maverick' an Australian Stock Horse, he was only 4 years old and about 14.3 hh and very fast and very full of himself, so anyway her dad bought her another horse as Minstal was to small, and Maverick was to fast and she said he was very frisky, so Leanne and I got the job of looking after these two horses...
Leanne got Minstal and I got Maverick, he was a great horse, just misunderstood, he wasn't frisky at all, just ASH are naturally fast on their feet, so there was the beginning of mine and Leanne's self taught riding career.......
It was meny years later before I own my very own horse....
