Has anybody ever told you; "that if you wished on a star, it could come true"? Has somebody ever told you to be; "careful what you wish for"?
*flash back*
Star light, star bright...
First star I see to night.
Wish I may, wish I might...
Have this wish, I wish tonight.
*end*
I won't tell you what happen right now, I'll have to start from the beginning...........
===========================
It felt great to be fourteen. Izumi skipped down the white pavement to her school, her curtain of shiny black hair flowing behind her. Her black pleated skirt waved in the wind and her white blouse rippled against her body. She waved to Ryo, standing near a tree.

Izumi felt like she couldn't concentrate that day, she kept dozing off, even in her favorite subject-- History. She stared at the back of Ryo's head, his hair black with shots of red through it. She was the one to convince him to dye it, and Ryo seemed to like it. But, Ryo didn't often show emotion, so it was hard to tell.
*dream*
"Izumi!" called the voice of Ryo and Izumi bolted awake.

Ryo noticed Izumi being unnaturally quiet as they walked home that afternoon. She was usually very talkative. 'I wonder if the dreams have started.' he thought. 'It seems too early to tell her now. The prophecies are correct, though, she is the one. I was sent to watch her, but I don't want Izumi to have such a changed life. But she wished for it.' Ryo watched Izumi, as they walked. 'I don't want to do this.' he thought. 'There must be someway I can stall her wished fate.'

Ryo walked through a path of darkness. Swirls and flashes of colors danced around know and then, temporarily lighting up the path. A white door slowly appeared in the distance and opened for Ryo when he arrived to it.
Star Saga (C) Black Phoenix 2003-2004
Hello, I'm Izumi Matsuki. I'm fourteen years old and I wished, for ADVENTURE. Unluckily for me, I got it. I was only seven when I started to wish, but it still came. Seven years I wished for that, every year until I was fourteen.
As I have said, I'm Izumi Matsuki and I'm fourteen. My family-- mama, papa, my little brother Kinji and grand-mama moved to a small Canadian city when I was five, my brother was only two. It's hard starting school in a new country and making new friends and finding work-- but we did it. I was alone, most of the time.... Until another immigrant came to our school. He was born in Tokyo too and his name was Ryo.
Ryo's full name was Ryo Taylor-- he had been adopted by a Canadian family. He had black hair and sparkling green eyes-- very exciting compared to my plain dull brown ones.
Ryo and I were best friends, all the way from third grade to junior high. He's the reason I started making my wishes. Every night one my and his birthday, we would find the first star of the night and wish for adventure. If it was cloudy, we'd just have to look harder. I remember once looking for a star through a snowstorm -- because Ryo's birthday is in January. But we always found our star. Every single time. Ryo said if we believed, our wish would come true.
He was right.
Now that I've told you a bit about myself and my past I'm ready to tell you my story, every single detail is in the following chapters (episodes) you read. I'm happy to share them, and you can share them with others, and they can share them with other others. If you get where I'm going.
Here it goes. Before, only me, Ryo and a select others knew this story. I'm a little nervous, here it is......................
Chapter Two
"Hi Ryo!" she said, smiling and started to run to her friend.
Ryo looked up from the book he was reading and smiled as well. His green eyes flashed brilliantly in the morning light. "Hello." he said.
Izumi stopped running. "Usually I'm the one that waits for you." she said. "Why did you get here so soon?"
Ryo replied, "I dunno, I was just up early and I figured I'd wait today. I was going to go to you're house, but Kinji would be there."
Izumi remembered the first time Kinji met Ryo, and Ryo had never gone over to her house when Kinji was there since. Kinji had tormented Ryo that afternoon; he put gum in his hair (which caused him to style his hair differently, and it was much cooler than before. So that was no great loss), he chased him around with a bucket of water, (which Ryo was scared of) and finally, Kinji had sung the "sitting in a tree song" all the time they were there.
Izumi couldn't help laughing softly. "Kinji's not that bad."
Ryo stared. "He got water on me!" he said. "I hate water."
"I know that." Izumi replied. "But he's much more mature now."
"Yeah, right." Ryo sighed, checking his watch. His eyes bugged out and he said. "We'd better get to school, our we'll be late!" Ryo grabbed Izumi's wrist and started to run. "Come on, we gotta go!"
Izumi felt her eyelids slowly drooping, a dream calling her to sleep.
Blackness fell like a curtain, thunder roared and white and red lighting blasted in the sky. It was cold and windy, Izumi felt so alone.
"Izumi!" called a voice.
Izumi gasped and turned around, that voice, sounded like Ryo. "Ryo!" she called back, turning around and around searching in the never-ending black.
"It's me Izumi!" Ryo's voice called again.
"Where are you Ryo?" Izumi asked to the black she was surrounded in.
Suddenly another burst of blood-red lightning stuck and a white figure appeared.
"Ryo!" Izumi shouted, running to the white figure. She didn't know exactly who it was, but her hopes made her assume it was him. But, as she ran the figure seemed to get farther and farther away. She stopped. "What's going on Ryo?" she asked to the distant figure.
The figure laughed. "Why do you assume it's me?"
"You have Ryo's voice!" Izumi said. "Come here, Ryo!"
Suddenly the figure grew wings. Spiky dragon-like ones. They were black. "Fine." said the figure and started to fly to her. It stopped a few feet in front of her and the white light that was hiding who it was, faded. Ryo.
"Ryo!" Izumi screamed.
Ryo's hair was white and red, his eyes were still green but had pupils like a cat's. He was dressed in a tight white shirt, leather pants and a long black leather duster. His wings twitched occasionally as he spoke. "Hello, Izumi."
Izumi gasped. "What happened to you!" she screamed.
"Nothing." Ryo replied. "For I have always been this way."
*end dream*
"What?' she asked, her vision slightly blurry, she blinked again and saw Ryo's face better.
Ryo smiled at her. "You fell asleep in class again." Ryo said. He motioned to the empty classroom. "Everyone's gone to lunch." He turned back to her. "It's a good thing Mrs. Robertson didn't catch you."
Izumi nodded, but then the mention of sleep and the sight of Ryo made her remember her dream. 'No!' she thought. 'That dream wasn't true. Ryo doesn't look like that. But it was so real........... I knew I shouldn't of had two pieces of cake last night.'
Ryo noticed her mind elsewhere. "Come on Izumi." he said. "We can have lunch outside."
Izumi sighed and smiled. "Okay." she replied, standing up.
'It was just a dumb dream,' she thought and they walked to their lockers.
Izumi stopped at her drive way. "Bye Ryo." she said. "Thanks for walking me home."
"It's okay." Ryo replied. "I just didn't want you to fall asleep on the side walk." he joked.
Izumi giggled. "Bye." she said walking up to her house.
Ryo waved and continued to walk to his house-- or so Izumi thought.
Ryo walked into a lonely alley. "I've gotta convince The Council to let her have a few more years.' he thought as he walked to the end of the alley. 'I don't even know what she's seen in her dreams already.' His thoughts were cut off by a rustle by a pile of boxes.
Ryo turned his eyes to the pile, his pupil's changed like a cat's. Something was following him.
Suddenly a man in a ragged over coat jumped out, holding a knife. "Gimme you're money boy." he growled.
"I'm not looking for trouble." Ryo said calmly.
"Well I am." the man said. "Now, gimme your money or die." He waved his knife at Ryo.
"Come near me, and I will hurt you." Ryo said. "And I don't want to do that."
"Ooh, I'm shaking." the man said. "This is your last chance. Give me your wallet, or I'll take it."
Ryo sighed and looked at the man. "Okay I warned you." he said. "If you want my money, come and take it." He readied himself like a cat. "Bring it on."
The man laughed sinisterly and lunged at Ryo, who dodged him. When the man regained his balance, he turned and ran at Ryo again. Ryo turned and kicked the rusty knife out of the man's dirty hand. He stopped.
"Now." Ryo said. "Leave me."
The man snickered and reached out for his knife.
Ryo did the same and reached out his hand an the knife flew to it. "Don't even think about it."
The man stared, open-mouthed. He gasped and scrambled to get away.
Ryo watched the man run away, witch satisfaction and tossed the knife into a dumpster. "Told you not to mess with me,” he said, even though the man was long gone. He walked back to the end of the alley and started chanting a different tongue, one that had never been spoken on earth before.
Slowly, the end of the alley began to glow and a small white portal opened. He looked behind him, to make sure nobody was watching and he walked through it, it closed up as he went.
As Ryo walked through he became the way Izumi had seen him in her dream.
"RYO!" squealed at high, happy voice and something white flew at his head.
Ryo looked up at the little white thing on his head. "Hello Ressu."
Ressu looked like a little cloud with tiny legs and arms. He had little black eyes and clapped excitedly.
Ryo smiled at the little creature and continued to walk, his footstep echoing in the marble room that had appeared around him.
"You haven't come in a while." Ressu said with his squeaky voice.
"Sorry, Ressu." Ryo replied. "I've been busy you know."
Ressu smiled. "It's okay."
"Ryo, you come at last," said a woman's voice.
Ryo bowed to the white haired woman before him. "I apologize, my queen."
The queen waved her hand for him to rise. "No matter." she said. "I am guessing you know about Izumi's dreams? And that is why you've come."
Ryo nodded. "I think she should have more time."
The queen shook her head. "Follow me, The Council has been waiting."
Ryo nodded and followed the queen to a black marble room.
A group of seven people sat at table and the queen took her seat at the front of it.
Ryo looked to each of The Council members. "I have come to request more time for Izumi."
The members laughed. "But it is time. She had wished for seven years-- it is time."
"But!" Ryo said.
The queen shook her head at him again. "I think you've grown attached to this . . . Izumi."
Ressu looked up at Ryo from the floor.
"She has become my friend yes-- " Ryo stared.
An old man at the table with green wings looked at him over his round glasses. "Ryo," he said. "You have been finding Seekers four thousands of years. Why should this one be nay different?"
Ryo didn't know what to say.
"We will continue as planned,” said the queen. "Be prepared Ryo."
Ryo nodded slowly and walked out of the room. 'I hope she's ready for it.' Ryo thought. 'For her sake.'
