REGULATIONS FOR THE PROVINCIAL LEVEL OF COMPETITIONS

1.  Winners in classes at Local Festival pertaining to National Competitive Festival classes Nos. 1 to 6 are eligible to participate at the Provincial Level, provided the adjudicator has submitted a written recommendation.  (Refer to Preface.)

2.  Additional music MUST be performed at the Provincial Level. (Refer to Official Syllabus.)  Note music selection requirements in Official Syllabus.

3.  Maximum time for each contestant is 40 minutes.

4.  Contestants participating at the Provincial level MUST provide in advance of their performance the correct title, composer and performance time of their complete programme in the event they will be proceeding to the National Finals.

5.  Contestants will be responsible for providing their accompanists.  Accompaniment restricted to a piano. (One.)

6.  No marks will be given at the Provincial Level but on the recommendation of the adjudicator(s) a winner shall be declared.  Alternates shall be recommended at the discretion of the adjudicators(s) should a satisfactory standard be attained.
