Wink , the owner, runs an efficent shop dealing with insurance repairs, dealership cosmetic work as well as older model re-paints and restoration. A very busy place but also very friendly atmosphere. Wink has years of experience; established what I required and explained how the work would be done.
Final masking before being pushed into the booth.
The down draught paint booth. Very clean. Fresh filters in the ceiling. Essential for a perfect paint finish. Impressive.
A view through the door as the first mist coat is laid down. Note protection required when working with modern paints.
A quick look inside the booth before the final two coats are applied. This is the tacky mist coat. Interior booth temp is 60 deg C.
The final two coats have been applied and the whole car baked. (I used camera flash here and shows the paint more orange than it really is).
Garreth at Ngaruawahia Panel Beaters completed the final prep work and applied the paint. An excellent job with real attention to detail. This guy loves his work!
