Suspension and brakes

	Rear axle before dismantling. Fuel tank in foreground, muffler to left.
	Rear axle taken from rear. Handbrake cable cam shown. Very little rust evident on underside of bodyshell.
	NEW! JUNE '03.
	After rebuild (October 2002). New U clamps and lock bolts. Resprayed all components. The gold is the closest match I could find, hopefully it will dull a little with age. NOS rear shock absorber shown. Also new cyclinder units fitted both sides.
	Resprayed handbrake cam unit. NOS flexi hose fitted.
	I used the existing bumpstop units as they were pretty good. Drums are in good condition so I will just respray those. Brake shoes will be relined before I re-fit the brakes. More photos of the new shoes and springs etc soon.
	NEW JUNE '03. Rear axle now fitted. (has gathered some dust too!). NOS damper fitted. Drums still need painting.
	NEW JUNE '03. NOS front strut and spring now fitted. Have stripped and repainted all the suspension components and fitted new bushings where required. Brake backing plates re-painted and reconditioned cylinders. NOS Drivesafts with new rubber boots and bearings have also been used.
	NEW JUNE '03. Close up view of front suspension. New ball joint rubbers fitted. Wheels still to be stripped and painted.
	NEW JUNE '03. NOS master cylinder fitted. Still need to refit brake shoes and fill the system with fluid. Note NOS steering rack and track rods below.
