The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) today assailed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and National Security Adviser Roilo Golez on the so-called plot of “viruses of society” to bring down the government saying “the President and her similarly corrupt military officials are the most toxic viruses of society that should be immediately terminated to avert further contamination.”

KMP secretary general Danilo Ramos said, “Ms Macapagal is a principal carrier of the toxins of corruption, puppetry, tyranny and oppression contaminating national sovereignty and patrimony.” 

“Terminating the deadliest virus in Malacañang is the only way to stop further contamination. Ms Macapagal is the main source of the Filipino people’s sufferings,” the peasant leader said. 

The KMP leader also blasted the pronouncement of Secretary Golez linking Leftist groups to the so-called destabilization plot.

Golez said “it was also possible that the people behind the destabilization plot were now in a “tactical alliance” with the forces form the Left.”

Ramos warned that, “Golez statement forms part of the Palace’s sinister plot to launch a crackdown against militant groups.”

Ramos said that, “Ms Macapagal and her cohorts’ criminal activities are self-destabilizing and would push the people to protest in gigantic proportions.”

“Golez’s paranoia is a result of the increasing political isolation of the Macapagal-Arroyo government,” he added.

The KMP have long been calling for the ouster of the Macapagal-Arroyo government due to its anti-peasant, pro-imperialist globalization and pro-landlord and comprador policies. #
