The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) lambasted US envoy to the Philippines Francis Ricciardone for saying that the NDF was just using the terror listing issue as an excuse to delay the talks. According to Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of KMP “he should mind his own business and not meddle in Philippine affairs, or better yet he should shut up,”

“The working for delisting of the CPP-NPA and Prof. Jose Maria Sison from the US terror list was agreed upon by both sides during their talks earlier this year and this should be complied with. The government would be put in a really bad light if it does not comply with its written commitment,” added Ala.

“The GRP must also assert its sovereignty on our affairs and not be a puppet to the dictates of the US,” ended Ala. # # #
