“Danding’s link to the Aquino-Galman murders should at least be probed!”-KMP

TextThe militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) aired its view on the recent linking of business tycoon Danding Cojuangco to the Aquino-Galman double murder case. According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of the group that “this revelation should at least be probed, because it can shed more light in to the matter. It may also lead to its final resolution if indeed it is ascertained that he was part of the dastardly plan to eliminate Marcos’ prime political rival,”

“Besides it is not so far fetched that, Cojuangco was part of the plan to kill Ninoy because he has a lot to lose if Marcos was ousted from power. There are the P130 coco levy funds, as well as San Miguel Corporation and more than 40 more companies under his control during the Marcos era. Not to mention the enormous landholdings he has like the ones he owns now, the 150,000 hectare cassava plantation in Isabela as well as the 8,000 hectare Hacienda Isabel and San Antonio or his ownership of almost 2/3s of the whole Negros island,” said the peasant leader

As can be remembered Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino was shot on August 21, 1983 on the then Manila International Airport during his arrival from self-exile in the United States, blame was normally placed on Ferdinand Marcos whose political career was enormously threatened by Ninoy’s arrival.

As for his part, Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of KMP said “maybe that blood is not that thick when enormous money and holdings are involved and considering how Danding does his business, the elimination of an enemy even if it’s a relative may be not that far fetched,”

“Danding “The Pacman” Cojuangco, was not monickered as such for nothing. He will do everything to get what he wants and eliminate anyone who stands on his way, to prove that just ask the farmers he has displaced from their lands,” ended Ala. # # #
